Those with ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the elements in the figures are illustrated for simplicity and clarity and are not necessarily drawn to scale. For example, the dimensions of some of the elements in the figures may be exaggerated, relative to other elements, to improve the understanding of the present invention. There may be additional components described in the foregoing application that are not depicted on one of the described drawings. In the event such a component is described, but not depicted in a drawing, the absence of such a drawing should not be considered as an omission of such design from the specification.
[0023] Before describing the present invention in detail, it should be observed that the present invention utilizes a combination of components, which constitutes a retractable tent that is retractable and extendable from one position to another position according to usage preferences of a user. The retractable tent is designed for using with one or more sleep, work, or living space devices. The retractable tent may be facilitated or designed in different shapes such as a rectangular shape, a dome shape, a half-dome shape, or the like. Accordingly, the components have been represented, showing only specific details that are pertinent for an understanding of the present invention so as not to obscure the disclosure with details that will be readily apparent to those with ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of the description herein. As required, detailed embodiments of the present invention are disclosed herein. However, it is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the present invention, which can be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific structural and functional details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but merely as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to variously employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed structure. Further, the terms and phrases used herein are not intended to be limiting but rather to provide an understandable description of the present invention.
[0024] References to terms one embodiment, an embodiment, another embodiment, yet another embodiment, one example, an example, another example, yet another example, and so on, indicate that the embodiment(s) or example(s) so described may include a particular feature, structure, characteristic, property, element, or limitation, but that not every embodiment or example necessarily includes that particular feature, structure, characteristic, property, element or limitation. Furthermore, repeated use of the phrase in an embodiment does not necessarily refer to the same embodiment. The words comprising, having, containing, and including, and other forms thereof, are intended to be equivalent in meaning and be open ended in that an item or items following any one of these words is not meant to be an exhaustive listing of such item or items or meant to be limited to only the listed item or items.
[0025] Unless stated otherwise, terms such as first and second are used to arbitrarily distinguish between the elements or entities. Thus, these terms are not necessarily intended to indicate temporal or other prioritization of such elements or priorities. While various exemplary embodiments of the disclosed tent have been described below, a person having ordinary skills in the art would understand that have been presented for purposes of example only, and not limitations. It is not exhaustive and does not limit the present invention to the precise form disclosed. Modifications and variations of the disclosed tent are possible considering the below teachings or may be acquired from practicing of the present invention, without departing from the breadth or scope.
[0026] The retractable tent of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, particularly with respect to
[0027]
[0028] In an embodiment, the tent supporting structures 106a and 106b may be a metallic or hard plastic or wooden structure that is installed in an outdoor area around the couch 102 and the table 104 for facilitating opening and closing of the retractable tent 108. In an embodiment, the retractable tent 108 may be made up of one or more materials such as cotton (canvas), nylon, felt, polyester, or soft plastic that is flexible and rollable in nature. The retractable tent 108 may further include waterproof layering. In some embodiments, the retractable tent 108 may be made up of one or more flexible display or rollable display that is flexible and rollable in nature and hence may be easily rolled or retracted as per the user's preferences. With such display, the retractable tent 108 may be configured to display one or more canvas, images, or the like from its inside as well as outside as per the user's preferences.
[0029] In an embodiment, when not used, the retractable tent 108 may be rolled and placed inside a gap or groove provided in the grounded tent supporting structure 106b. However, when a user wants to use the retractable tent 108 around the smart outdoor living space 100 in whatsoever manner, then the user can operate the retractable tent 108 by using a mechanism, for example, either manually or automatically. For example, the retractable tent 108 may be manually operated by a user by using a rolling or retracting handler (not shown). In another example, the retractable tent 108 may be operated by a user using a smart device or switch. During the automatic or electric process, when the user triggers the retracting process by using the smart device or switch, a signal is generated and transmitted from the smart device or switch to a controller that is electrically connected to one or more motors associated with the smart outdoor living space 100. Based on the received signal, the one or more motors are turned ON which in turn initiates the retracting or extending process of the tent 108 around the overhead tent supporting structure 106a. During the retraction process of the tent 108 from the grounded tent supporting structure 106b, the tent 108 is retracted or extended in a manner such that the tent 108 follows a designated path provided along the overhead tent supporting structure 106a.

[0034] The smart frame bed 200 may be further provided with a retractable tent 204. In an embodiment, the retractable tent 204 may be made up of one or more materials such as cotton (canvas), nylon, felt, polyester, or soft plastic that is flexible and rollable in nature. The retractable tent 204 may further include waterproof layering. In some embodiments, the retractable tent 204 may be made up of one or more flexible display or rollable display that is flexible and rollable in nature and hence may be easily rolled or retracted as per the user's preferences. With such display, the retractable tent 204 may be configured to display one or more canvas, images, or the like from its inside as well as outside as per the user's preferences.
[0035] The smart frame bed 200 may further include a switching panel 206 that is provided along a headboard slat of the smart frame bed 200. The switching panel 206 may be powered by using an electric cable 208 when the electric cable 208 is plugged into a power outlet or a power source such as DC or AC power source. The switching panel 206 has been described later in conjunction with
[0036] The smart frame bed 200 may further include one or more storage boxes such as a box 210. The box 210 may be an illuminated box that illuminates one or more types of light either naturally or by means of an integrated lighting system such as LEDs. The smart frame bed 200 may further include one or more illuminated light strips (for example, a lighting system such as LED panels) 212 that are embedded or fixed along one or more bottom portions of the smart frame bed 200. These illuminated light strips 212 illuminate one or more types of light either naturally or by means of an integrated lighting system such as LEDs. The various types of lights integrated with the smart frame bed 200, as discussed above, may be controlled by using one or more switches provided in the switching panel 206 or by using a software application running on the smart device.
[0037] The smart frame bed 200 may further include a horizontal traction platform 214 along which the tent 204 is retracted to open or close the tent 204 either partially or fully. When not used, the retractable tent 204 may be rolled and placed or inserted or housed inside a gap or grove provided in headboard slat of the smart frame bed 200.
