Abstract
The present invention relates to a supply device for a channel, in particular within a hollow catheter, and to a method for operating a supply device of this type that supplies a channel with a liquid and has two pumps arranged at points of the channel distanced from one another, characterised in that the parameter values of at least one operating parameter of both pumps are coordinated with one another in a controlled manner. As a result of the method, interruption-free and precisely controllable operation is to be ensured with simple structural means, in particular in the case of use of wear-free diaphragm pumps.
Claims
1. A supply device for supplying a channel with a liquid, having at least one diaphragm pump and having a control device, wherein the control device controls the at least one diaphragm pump in respect of at least one of a generated pressure and a delivery rate.
2. The supply device according to claim 1 having at least two diaphragm pumps, wherein the at least two diaphragm pumps are arranged at points of the channel distanced from one another, and wherein the control device controls the at least two diaphragm pumps individually in respect of at least one of the generated pressure and the delivery rate.
3. The supply device according to claim 1, wherein each of the at least one diaphragm pump is assigned a liquid pressure sensor.
4. The supply device according to claim 1, wherein each of the at least one diaphragm pump is assigned an electric sensor for detecting a current consumption of each of the at least one diaphragm pump.
5. The supply device according to claim 1, wherein each of the at least one diaphragm pump is assigned a flow rate sensor.
6. A method for operating a supply device that supplies a channel with a liquid and has at least one diaphragm pump, wherein the method comprises a step of controlling the at least one diaphragm pump with respect to at least one of a generated pressure and a delivery rate.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the supply device has two diaphragm pumps arranged at points of the channel distanced from one another, and wherein the step of controlling the at least one diaphragm pump comprises coordinating with one another parameter values of at least one operating parameter of both the diaphragm pumps to provide coordinated parameter values.
8. The method according to claim 7, wherein a liquid pressure is detected at one point or at a number of different points in the channel distanced from one another.
9. The method according to claim 7, wherein the coordinated parameter values of the two diaphragm pumps are variable over time in accordance with a fixed schema and in particular are changed periodically over time following a start-up phase.
10. The method according to claim 8, wherein a ratio of the coordinated parameter values of the two diaphragm pumps is dependent in a predetermined manner on detected values of the liquid pressure in the channel.
11. The method according to claim 7, wherein the coordinated parameter values of both the diaphragm pumps are delivery capacity values of the diaphragm pumps.
12. The method according to claim 7, wherein the coordinated parameter values of both the diaphragm pumps are liquid pressure values generated by the diaphragm pumps.

14. The method according to claim 7, wherein the coordinated parameter values of both the diaphragm pumps are flow rate values of the diaphragm pumps.
15. The method according to claim 7, wherein at least one of a fixed pressure difference and a fixed difference of flow rate is set between the two diaphragm pumps.
16. The method according to claim 15, wherein the fixed difference of flow rates between the two diaphragm pumps is less than 100 millilitres per day.
17. The method according to claim 6, wherein the at least one diaphragm pump is controlled in such a way that direction of movement of the liquid is reversed.
18. A hollow catheter having the supply device according to claim 1.
19. The hollow catheter according to claim 18 further comprising a shaft rotatable within the hollow catheter.
20. The hollow catheter according to claim 18 further comprising a flexible shaft arranged within the hollow catheter.
21. A catheter pump for intraventricular operation within a heart, wherein the catheter pump comprises the hollow catheter according to claim 18.

The shaft 2 can be introduced in the region of a feedthrough 4 into a coupling housing 5, wherein the feedthrough 4 is configured in such a way that a medium is prevented from passing along the shaft into the coupling housing 5 or cut from the coupling housing 5 by a seal.
