DETAILED DESCRIPTION
(7) In the exemplary embodiment of an apparatus 8 for transporting products 10 according to
(8) The transfer device 18 comprises a guide 20, which is configured in the form of a closed circuit or of a circumferential guide. Arranged on this guide 20 are a multiplicity of runners 22, which can be accelerated and braked independently of one another. The transfer device 18 is arranged above the product feed 12 and partially covers the latter. The runners 22 are part of a linear drive 26 that moves and positions the runners 22 individually via a traveling magnetic field. To this end, permanent magnets are arranged for example in each of the runners 22, said permanent magnets cooperating with particular coil portions that are arranged in the guide 20. Alternatively, the guide 20 can also be arranged independently of the stator. To this end, corresponding control means and/or position sensors (not shown) are provided, which serve for the exact positioning of the runners 22 and for defining the desired speed profile of the runners 22, respectively.
(9) Located on the runner 22 is at least one product holder 24. The product holder 24 contains for example a plurality of holding means 25, via which for example the top side of the fed products 10 can be gripped. As holding means 25, it is possible to provide for example suction means that are activated by means of negative pressure, movable grippers, product shoes (that can receive the product 10 in an enclosing manner for further transport) or the like. For receiving the fed products 10, the speed of the runners 22 is synchronized with the speed of the product feed 12. The runner 22 removing the product 10 approaches the product 10 at the same speed at which the product 10 is passed into the collecting region of the transfer device 18 by the product feed 12. The runner 22 is positioned above the product 10 to be removed. The holding means 25 of the product holder 24 comes into contact with the product 10 for removal. The runner 22 moves the product 10 gripped by the product holder 24 along a slide plate 14. The slide plate 14 immediately adjoins the end of the product feed 12. In the transport direction 11, the slide plate 14 widens in order to be able to receive a product 10 rotated through 90. Subsequently, the slide plate 14 transitions into the intermediate transport means 30 or the intermediate transport means 30 adjoins the slide plate 14. To this end, cutouts 16 can be provided at the end of the slide plate 14, the initial regions of conveyor belts 32 of the intermediate transport means 30 being arranged in said cutouts 16.
(10) The product holder 24 is configured to be movable relative to the runner 22. In the exemplary embodiment according to
(11) The products 10 pushed over into the region of the conveyor belts 32 or set down there are moved onward in the transport direction 11 by the conveyor belts 32 and fed to a product discharge 36. The conveyor belts 32 are guided for example via a drive roller 34. The drive roller 34 moves the conveyor belts 32 synchronously. Via deflecting rollers, the conveyor belts 32 are guided into the respective cutout 16 in the slide plate 14. In the cutouts 16, the conveyor belts 32 run parallel to the surface of the slide plate 14. The conveyor belts 32 are guided further in the direction of the product discharge 36 after the end of the slide plate 14, specifically until the product 10 moved by the conveyor belts 32 can be accepted by the dog 38 of the product discharge 36. At the end of the intermediate transport means 30, the conveyor belts 32 are deflected back to the drive roller 34 via corresponding rollers.
(12) Provided in the exemplary embodiment according to
(13) The intermediate transport means 30 is distinguished firstly by the fact that, for product transport, there is no need for dogs that project beyond the plane of the slide plate 14, these then not being able to collide with the transfer device 18. Similarly, in the event of a vacancy, i.e. when there is no product 10 under the product holder 24 and the product discharge 36 is waiting for the next product 10, the product holder 24 can no longer collide with the waiting product 10 in the product receptacle 38 located in front. Alternatively, vacancy compensation could also be effected at the inlet by the product holder 24 waiting for the next product 10. Alternatively, a runner 22 could also be moved on empty, that is to say without product 10. Via the intermediate transport means 30, it is also possible to carry out fine adjustment, i.e. the precise positioning of the received product 10 in the product discharge 36, particularly easily. More precise mechanical adjustment or configuration of the transfer device 18 is thus no longer necessary. In addition, product tolerances can be compensated more easily via the intermediate transport means 30.
(14) Alternatively, a plurality of products 10 could also be brought by a plurality of runners 22 and the entire group transported further by a dog 38. To this end, the products 10 forming a group could for example be fed to the product discharge 36 in succession or one on top of another.
(15) Optionally, a sensor could be provided that senses the position of the product 10 on the intermediate transport means 30, the output signal of said sensor being used for controlling the speed and/or position of the conveyor belts 32. Furthermore, the conveyor belts 32 can likewise be controlled depending on the position of the dogs 38 of the product discharge 36. If the dogs 38 have engaged around the product 10, the intermediate transport means 30 brings the next product 10 into the collecting region of the product discharge 36 or of the next dogs 38 that appear next between the conveyor belts 32.
(16) The product discharge 36 comprises product receptacles, pockets or dogs 38, which receive the products 10, fed by the intermediate transport means 30, at the transverse sides of the products 10. The product discharge 36 serves as a grouping unit. The dogs 38 form pockets in which the products are fed to devices for further processing. The product discharge 36 can be configured for example as a two-track unit; the dogs 38 can be connected by different tracks that can be moved independently of one another. The dogs 38 can in this case be controlled with different speeds, such that in particular the relative position of adjacent dogs 38 with respect to one another can be changed.
(17) In an alternative exemplary embodiment that is not shown, the intermediate transport means 30 could transfer the products 10 to the dogs 38 at the radius of the product discharge 36. As a result, the products 10 can be transported onwards standing on edge. To this end, the conveyor belts 32 of the intermediate transport means 30 would have to be oriented in a manner inclined with respect to the horizontal such that the products 10 are fed to the awaiting dog 38 at the desired point with the end side facing toward the center of the radius of the product discharge 36. The flat long side passes into contact with the radially oriented dog 38.
(18) The described apparatus 8 for transporting products 10 works as follows. First of all, the runner 22, at the end of the upper linear portion of the guide 20, moves the product holder 24 into the removing position. This takes place by way of a rotation through 90. In the lower curve portion, the runner 22 is synchronized with the movement of the product 10 fed by the product feed 12, such that the product holder 24 is moved at the same speed as the product 10 to be received. After synchronization has taken place, the holding means 25 of the product holder 24 is activated such that the product 10 is gripped. In the gripped state, the runner 22 transfers the product 10 from the product feed 12 onto the slide plate 14. On the slide plate 14, the product holder 24 rotates the gripped product 10 through 90. The rotation through 90 is completed at the latest when the gripped product 10 is located in the region of the intermediate transport means 30.
(19) Preferably, in this region, the runner 22 adapts its speed to the speed of the intermediate transport means 30. The product 10 is set down on the associated conveyor belts 32 at least toward the end of the intermediate transport means 30. To this end, the holding means 25 is deactivated again. In the curve region of the transfer device 18, the runner 22 moves away from the product 10, which is now moved by the intermediate transport means 30. The intermediate transport means 30 moves the product 10, optionally with an accelerated movement, as far as the leading dogs 38, which form the trailing dogs 38 of the preceding product 10. In the meantime, the trailing dogs 38 pass from below through the gaps between adjacent conveyor belts 32 against the still free rear side of the product 10. This product 10 is now enclosed on both sides, as illustrated by way of example in
(20) Thus, the operation of the apparatus 8 for transporting products 10 is distinguished by the following steps of: synchronizing the speed of the runner 22 with the speed of the product 10 fed by the product feed 12, and/or removing the product 10 by activating the holding means 25 and/or the product holder 24, and/or rotating the product holder 24, preferably through 90, and/or setting down the product 10 on the intermediate transport means 30 by deactivating the holding means 25 and/or the product holder 24, and/or moving the product 10 by way of the intermediate transport means 30 into the collecting region of the product discharge 36, in particular in the direction of at least one dog 38, and/or moving the dog 38 to the product 10, in particular by the dog 38 being guided through between two adjacent conveyor belts 32, and/or moving the runner 22 away from the product 10, and/or rotating the product holder 24 into a receiving position for receiving the product 10.
(21) In order to further increase the output capacity, in the exemplary embodiment according to
(22) Furthermore, the exemplary embodiment according to
(23) As alternatives that are not shown, the product feed 12 could consist for example of two transport means that feed at least two products 10 arranged alongside one another parallel to one another. The two holding means 25 are now arranged over these two products 10. Subsequently, the holding means 25 grip the two products 10, rotate them and set them down in succession on the intermediate transport means 30. The product discharge 36 then takes place for example in one row.
(24) Possible exemplary embodiments of the product holders 24 and associated arms 42 are illustrated in
(25) The exemplary embodiment according to
(26) The apparatus 8 according to the exemplary embodiment according to
(27) The apparatus is a constituent part of a flexible transport system for different transport applications, in particular in the packaging technology of for example pharmaceuticals or foodstuffs. However, the use is not limited thereto.
