ADJUSTABLE CUSHION PAD LOCKING SYSTEM

Abstract

An adjustable cushion pad locking system may include two cushions, cushion cover with locking mechanisms on each side, and buckles to attach straps to. The cushion covers locking mechanisms has an engaged condition in which they can lock to similar locking mechanism to form alternative uses of the cushion pad.

Claims

1. A cushion pad having front and a rear, the cushion pad compromising: two cushion pads; cushion pad cover; thin fabric pieces with zipper on end; wherein said thin fabric pieces is attached to said cushion pad covers.

2. The cushion pad of claim 1 further comprising: Buckle Straps, wherein the buckle straps are attached to the cushion pad covers.

3. The cushion pad of claim 1 further comprising: foam or gel, wherein the material of the cushion.

4. The cushion pad of claim 1, wherein the zipper on end has an engaging condition to be locked into place.

5. The cushion pad of claim 1, wherein the two cushion pads are in one cushion cover.

6. The cushion pad of claim 5, wherein the cushion cover has a middle thin spot to separate the two cushions.

7. The cushion pads in cushion cover in claim 5, wherein the two cushions can stack on top of each other.

8. The cushion pad in claim 7, wherein the zippers on sides of two cushions can lock into place to form one cushion.

9. The cushion pad of claim 2, wherein buckles can buckle into the buckle straps

10. A cushion pad comprising: two cushion pads; cushion pad cover with fabric pieces on the end; locking mechanism on the end of fabric pieces; wherein the locking mechanism can attach to other cushion pads with same locking mechanism.

11. The cushion pad of claim 10, wherein the cushion pad in the cushion pad cover can be folded easily and stacked upon each other.

12. The cushion pad of claim 10 further compromising: foam, wherein the material of the cushion.

13. The cushion pad of claim 11, wherein the cushion pad cover can fit the pillows in there through insert on cushion pad cover.

14. The cushion pad of claim 10, wherein cushions are separated by the cover.

15. The cushion pad of claim 11, wherein the two cushions can be folded and locked into place to form a thicker complete cushion.

16. The cushion pad of claim 10, wherein the locking mechanism at end can attach to another similar locking mechanism or be the being attached to.

17. The cushion pad of claim 10 further comprising: zipper, wherein the material of the locking mechanism.

18. The cushion pad of claim 10, wherein a strap can lock into the buckle to form a handle or shoulder strap.

19. The cushion pad of claim 15, wherein fabric pieces on end stick out enough with locking mechanism on it to touch the top of the cushion and to lock into other side of cushion with locking mechanism.

20. A cushion pad comprising: cushion pad with thin piece of fabric in middle of cushion; locking mechanism on each side of cushion; buckle straps on rear side of cushion; wherein the cushion pad be folder and locked together to create a thicker cushion pad.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT

[0027] Referring now to FIGS. 1-4, in one embodiment, the comfort pad has a flexible thin fabric 11 that connects top and bottom cushions 13. On each side of the cushions 13, there may be flexible thin fabric 11. The flexible thin fabric 11 has a zipper 10 on it except where the cushions 13 are connected. Although the cushion is depicted as a cushion pad for the purposes of the description, it should be recognized that concepts and elements of the disclosure may be utilized on other types of cushions.

[0028] As particularly illustrated in FIG. 1A, the cushion 13 which can be made of gel, foam, or other cushion material which may be covered by fabric to protect material. The sides of cushions have a flexible thin fabric 11 with a zipper 10 on the end except where they are connected. The top cushion 13 zipper 12 may be engaged with bottom cushion 13 and vice versa. The zipper 12 from one cushion may also be engaged with a zipper 12 from another cushion.

[0029] As particularly illustrated in FIG. 2A, the cushion 13 can include buckle for straps 12, which can include adjustable shoulder strap 15 for being used to hold as bag or put on shoulder. The adjustable shoulder strap 15 can be hooked on to any buckle for strap 12. The adjustable shoulder strap 15 may be adjusted in length to conform to length needed for service.

[0030] As particularly illustrated in FIG. 3A, the flexible thin fabric 11 connecting the top and bottom cushion 13 is on the bottom part of the top cushion 13 and top part of bottom cushion 13.

[0032] FIG. 5A illustrates the cushion pad with both cushions 13 compacted together to create a bigger cushion. The zipper is engaged 19 which makes the cushion one cushion. The cushion 13 may be engaged on either side, however, it is shown having the cushion 13 rears compacted against each other. Therefore, the buckles for straps 12 are not showing.

The bottom rear part of cushion 13 with buckle for straps 12 is level with surface and the top rear part of cushion 13 with buckle with straps 12 is at a 90 degree angle. The flexible thin fabric 11 that connects the top and bottom cushion 13 is shown. The adjustable shoulder strap 15 is buckled on each side of cushion 13 at the top and bottom buckle straps 12.

[0034] FIG. 5C illustrates the cushion pad with both cushions 13 compacted together with the rear side of cushion 13 with buckle for strap 12 on the outside of cushion 13. The adjustable shoulder strap 15 is buckled into the buckle straps 12 on each side of cushion 13 to create a handle. The adjustable shoulder strap 15 is shown buckled into each side, however, there may be multiple adjustable shoulder straps 15 or one shoulders strap 15 put into any of the buckle straps to create the handle for carrying.

[0035] FIG. 5D illustrates the cushion pad on a chair. The bottom rear part of cushion 13 with buckle for straps 12 is level on the chair seat and the top rear part of cushion 13 with buckle with straps 12 is at a 90 degree angle against the back of the chair. The adjustable shoulder strap 15 is buckled on one side of cushion into the buckle for strap 12 and then wrapped around chair and buckled into the opposite side buckle for strap 12. Four adjustable should straps 12 are shown wrapped around chair, however, there maybe two adjustable shoulder straps 12 wrapped around chair to provide stability around chair.

[0036] Referring now to FIGS. 6A to 6C, an alternative ability and use of three cushion pads formed into box or cube is shown and described.

[0037] As illustrated in FIG. 6A, three cushion pads are engaged together to form a box or cube. The zippers 19 from one cushion pad is engaged to the zipper 19 from the other two cushion pads. The buckles for straps 12 are shown on the outside of the cushions 13, however, they may be on the inner depending on how the cushion pads are set up to engage the zippers 19 of other cushions 13. The flexible thin fabric 11 forms around to make a box or cube. The top cushion 16 of the cube can have zippers disengaged to form a lid.

[0038] FIG. 6B shows the three cushions assembled to form a box 18 from FIG. 6A with two adjustable shoulder straps 15 buckled into the buckle for straps 12 on each side. This forms carrying handles to carry items.

[0039] FIG. 6C shows the three cushions assembled with top cushion lid open 18 and a hard box 17 going into the box 18 to form a hard structure. The hard structure will be able to provide a more overall hard structure to carry additional goods.

[0040] Referring now to FIGS. 7A to 7B, an alternative ability and use of three cushion pads formed into longer cushion pad or bed is shown and described.

[0041] As illustrated in FIG. 7A, the top of two cushion pads 19 are engaged and laid out to form a longer cushion pad or bed. For the illustration, the top cushion is double stacked 14 to form a pillow or bigger cushion to elevate head similar to pillow.

[0043] The disclosure is a departure from the state of the art and the inventor has discovered that the system described herein may provide several advantages. For example, embodiments of the disclosure relate to cushion pads that utilize maximum comfort while being able utilize the cushion pad for multiple uses which is one advantage.

[0044] Another advantage includes the reduction in space required for storage as the one cushion can provide multiple usages such as standard cushion pad, chair cushion, formation of chair, sleeping pad, or be used as a storage box. The use of storage box reduces hassle as can bring storage and break off cushion pad for comfort as needed then reattach when done.
