Abstract
A hand protection device for protecting cuticles from damage while braiding hair includes a pair of gloves, each of which can be selectively positioned on a respective hand of a user by insertion of the respective hand into an opening positioned in the glove. The glove is removably engaged to the respective hand. Each of a plurality of cutouts is positioned in a respective finger of a respective glove so that each finger of each glove has a cutout positioned therein. The cutouts of each glove allow for protrusion of digits of a respective hand so that cuticles of the digits are covered by the fingers. The gloves protect the cuticles from damage while performing tasks, such as braiding hair.
Claims
1. A hand protection device comprising: a pair of gloves, each glove being configured for selectively positioning on a respective hand of a user by insertion of the respective hand into an opening positioned in the glove, such that the glove is removably engaged to the respective hand; and a plurality of cutouts, each cutout being positioned in a respective finger of a respective glove, such that each finger of each glove has a cutout positioned therein, wherein the cutouts of each glove are configured for protrusion of digits of a respective hand, such that cuticles of the digits are covered by the fingers, wherein the gloves are configured for protecting the cuticles from damage while performing tasks; and wherein each glove comprises three fingers, such that the glove is positionable over a first digit, a second digit, and a third digit, each glove having a distal edge relative to said three digits, said distal edge of each glove defining an opening into said glove, said distal edge of each glove extending from proximate a base of the third digit towards proximate a base of the first digit wherein each said glove is configured for covering a portion of a back, and a portion of a palm of a respective hand of the user from a middle finger to a thumb of the user.
2. The hand protection device of claim 1, wherein the gloves are resiliently stretchable, wherein each glove is configured for fitting a shape of a respective hand and for providing compression to the respective hand.
3. The hand protection device of claim 2, wherein the gloves comprise polyether-polyurea copolymer.
4. The hand protection device of claim 1, wherein the gloves comprise copper, wherein the gloves are configured for stimulating circulation of blood and reducing inflammation.
5. (canceled)
6. A method of protecting hands while braiding hair, the method comprising the steps of: providing a hand protection device comprising: a pair of gloves, each glove being configured for selectively positioning on a respective hand of a user by insertion of the respective hand into an opening positioned in the glove, such that the glove is removably engaged to the respective hand, and a plurality of cutouts, each cutout being positioned in a respective finger of a respective glove, such that each finger of each glove has a cutout positioned therein, wherein the cutouts of each glove are configured for protrusion of digits of a respective hand, such that cuticles of the digits are covered by the fingers, wherein the gloves are configured for protecting the cuticles from damage while performing tasks; and wherein each glove comprises three fingers, such that the glove is positionable over a first digit, a second digit, and a third digit, each glove having a distal edge relative to said three digits, said distal edge of each glove defining an opening into said glove, said distal edge of each glove extending from proximate a base of the third digit towards proximate a base of the first digit wherein each said glove is configured for covering a portion of a back, and a portion of a palm of a respective hand of the user from a middle finger to a thumb of the user; positioning each glove on an associated hand of a user by insertion of the associated hand into the opening positioned in the glove, such that the glove is removably engaged to the associated hand and such that the cuticles of the digits of the associated hand are covered by the fingers of the glove; braiding hair of a person; and removing the gloves from the hands,
7. The method of protecting hands while braiding hair of claim 6, wherein the gloves are resiliently stretchable, wherein each glove is configured for fitting a shape of a respective hand and for providing compression to the respective hand.
8. The method of protecting hands while braiding hair of claim 7, wherein the gloves comprise polyether-polyurea copolymer.
9. The method of protecting hands while braiding hair of claim 6, wherein the gloves comprise copper, wherein the gloves are configured for stimulating circulation of blood and reducing inflammation.
10. The method of protecting hands while braiding hair of claim 6, wherein each glove comprises three fingers, such that the glove is positionable over a first digit, a second digit, a third digit, a portion of a back, and a portion of a palm of a respective hand of the user.
11. A hand protection device comprising: a pair of gloves, each glove being configured for selectively positioning on a respective hand of a user by insertion of the respective hand into an opening positioned in the respective glove, such that the glove is removably engaged to the respective hand, the gloves being resiliently stretchable, wherein each glove is configured for fitting a shape of a respective hand and for providing compression to the respective hand, the gloves comprising polyether-polyurea copolymer, the gloves comprising copper, wherein the gloves are configured for stimulating circulation of blood and reducing inflammation; a plurality of cutouts, each cutout being positioned in a respective finger of a respective glove, such that each finger of each glove has a cutout positioned therein, wherein the cutouts of each glove are configured for protrusion of digits of a respective hand, such that cuticles of the digits are covered by the fingers, wherein the gloves are configured for protecting the cuticles from damage while performing tasks; and wherein each glove comprises three fingers, such that the glove is positionable over a first digit, a second digit, and a third digit, each glove having a distal edge relative to said three digits, said distal edge of each glove defining an opening into said glove, said distal edge of each glove extending from proximate a base of the third digit towards proximate a base of the first digit wherein each said glove is configured for covering a portion of a back, and a portion of a palm of a respective hand of the user from a middle finger to a thumb of the user.
