    Abstract

    A masculine souvenir headgear is provided. The masculine souvenir headgear provides two spaced apart circular disc portions interconnected by a headband adapted to extend laterally, essentially from ear to ear of the wearer, so that the circular disc portions extend upwardly from the ear portion of the wearer. The circular disc portions, via the headband, are biased against the temples of the wearer. The circular discs may provide indicia portions for placing promotional, branding and/or logo material.

    Claims

    1. A headgear, comprising: two disc portions; a headband providing an arcuate portion having two opposing ends and two support portions, one support portion fixed to and extending in an upward direction perpendicularly from each end of the arcuate portion; the two support portions tangentially connect to the two disc portions, respectively; the headband dimensioned and adapted to be worn laterally, ear to ear, of a human wearer so that each disc portion extends laterally away from a temple area of said human wearer.

    2. The headgear of claim 1, further comprising: an indicia portion along an outward facing surface of each disc portion.

    3. The headgear claim 1, wherein the disc portions each have a diameter of approximately three and a half inches.

    4. The headgear of claim 1, wherein the headband is configured to be biased against each temple area.

    5. A headgear, comprising: two disc portions; a headband providing an arcuate portion having two opposing ends and two support portions, one support portion fixed to and extending in an upward direction perpendicularly from each end of the arcuate portion; the two support portions tangentially connect to the two disc portions, respectively; the headband dimensioned and adapted to be worn laterally, ear to ear, of a human wearer in such a way that each disc portion extends laterally away from a temple area of said human wearer; the headband is configured to be biased against each temple area of said human wearer; and an indicia portion along an outward facing surface of each disc portion, wherein the disc portions each have a diameter of approximately three and a half inches.

    6. A method of providing a headgear, comprising: providing the headgear of claim 1; and placing said headgear along a rear portion of a human wearer so the headband extends laterally between the ears of said human wearer, and so that the two disc portions extend upwardly so as to engage the two temple areas of said human wearer, wherein each disc portion extends laterally away from the temple area of said human wearer.

    7. The method of claim 6, further providing promotional, branding or logo material along an outward facing portion of the disc portions.

    [0011] The following detailed description is of the best currently contemplated modes of carrying out exemplary embodiments of the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention, since the scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims.

    [0012] Broadly, an embodiment of the present invention provides a masculine souvenir headgear having two spaced apart circular disc portion interconnected by a headband adapted to extend laterally, essentially from ear to ear of the wearer, so that the circular disc portions extend upwardly to be biased against the temple of the wearer. The circular discs may provide indicia portions for providing a surface for promotional, branding and/or logo placement.

    [0013] Referring to FIGS. 1 through 3, the present invention may include a souvenir headgear 10 having two spaced apart circular disc portion 12 interconnected by a headband 14. The headband 14 provides an arcuate portion 24, wherein each opposing end thereof provides a support portion 22 extending perpendicularly from an arcuate plane defining the arcuate portion 24, each support portion extending in the same direction. The circular disc portions 12 may have a diameter ranging from three to four inches or more.

    [0014] The headband 14 may provide an inner layer stabilizer for biasing the disc portions 12 so when the arcuate portion 24 forms to the back of the head of the wearer 16, the disc portions 12 are urged against the temples of said wearer 16, as illustrated in FIG. 3. The disc portions 12 are circular as that enables a comfortable engagement with the wearer's temples. The disc portions 12 may also provide an indicia portion 42 adapted to provide graphical, textural branding, promotional messages, logos or the like.

    [0015] The present invention may be molded as one piece or assembled with multiple pieces to adjust various head sizes. The present invention may an inner stabilizer. Any form of plastic or rubber covering could be used to form the outer layer. The inner stabilizer could be another form of plastic, metal, or other rigid material. Given certain characteristics of plastic or rubber material, the inner stabilizer might not be needed and the device could be molded as one entire piece.

    [0016] A method of using the present invention may include the following. The souvenir headgear 10 disclosed above may be provided. A person wears the souvenir headgear 10 with the headband 14 extending laterally along a rear portion of their head between their ears, so that the support portions 22 and disc portions 12 extend upwardly above the ear area. The souvenir headgear 10 attaches onto a person's head by pressure above the ear area, urged by the disc portions 12. The souvenir headgear 10 is designed to attract a new purchasing customer base at theme parks. The device positions the promotional branding indicia portions 42 on a different location on the customer's head which appears to be less feminine than the current available options to the customer. This device has been designed to attract men and boys to a new customer market within theme parks so that they can more fully participate in the park experience.

    [0017] Additionally, the area where the ear portions 12 is located can be modified for many other uses. The area could attach other forms of technology (i.e. illuminated devices, headphones, speakers, Bluetooth technology, video recording, audio recording, ear muffs, etc.).
