Abstract
A key fob holder device. The device includes a housing. The housing has an interior cavity inside with an opening that allows for access to the interior cavity. The interior cavity is designed to hold a key fob. A first strap extends from the housing, and a second strap extends from the opposite side of the housing. The first strap and the second strap include a fastener. The fastener is designed such that the key fob holder device is movable between an open position and a closed position. The closed position is defined as the state where the faster on the first strap is engaged with the fastener on the second strap.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] Reference is made herein to the attached drawings. Like reference numerals are used throughout the drawings to depict like or similar elements of the key fob holder device. The figures are intended for representative purposes only and should not be considered to be limiting in any respect.
[0017] Referring now to
[0018] A first strap 13 extends upward from a first end of the housing 11. The first strap 13 is configured to provide for the placement of a fastener 15 thereon. The fastener 15 is designed to correspond to the fastener 15 of a second strap 14 that extends downwardly from a second end of the housing 11. As illustrated, the first strap 13 and the second strap 14 are disposed on exactly opposing sides of the housing 11, such that the first strap 13 and the second strap 14 are parallel to each other. The fastener 15 is disposed on the front face of the first strap 13 and the front face of the second strap 14 such that the first strap 13 and the second strap 14 can be folded over each other to engage the fastener 15. The housing 11, the first strap 13 and the second strap 14 may be made of any suitable material for the desired purpose. In some embodiments, the housing 11, the first strap 13 and the second strap 14 are made of leather.
[0019] Because of the action of the fastener 15, the key fob holder device 10 is movable between an open position (as shown in
[0020] In the illustrated embodiment, the key fob holder device 10 further comprises a loop 16. As shown, the loop 16 is placed on the rear face of the second strap 14. As such the loop 16 can be engaged with a belt of a user (as shown in
[0021] Referring now to
[0022] In the illustrated embodiment, the second strap 14 comprises a key chain ring 18 disposed on a distal end thereof. The key chain ring 18 is configured to provide a secure location for keys or key chains on the key fob holder device 10. Additionally, in the illustrated embodiment, the key chain ring 18 is disposed upon a clip 19. The clip 19 is secured to the distal end of the second strap 14 such that the key chain ring 18 is easily removable from the second strap 14 for the user.
[0023] Additionally, in the illustrated embodiment, an indicium 21 may be inserted into the rear face of the housing 11. As such, when the key fob holder device 10 is placed in the closed position, the indicium 21 will be represented upon the external surface of the key fob holder device. As such, the owner or user of the key fob holder device 10 will be able to identify the contents of the internal cavity of the housing 11 without placing the key fob holder device 10 into the open position. This can be useful for individuals who have multiple key fob holder devices and need to differentiate between them.
