    Abstract

A portable campfire device. The device has the capability of maintaining a biomass fire in a firepot without the constant attendance that a campfire requires.

    Claims

    1. A mobile apparatus for burning biomass fuel, said apparatus comprising: A. a housing having at least one wall, a bottom, and an open top, said housing containing a moveable fire pot, said moveable fire pot having a plurality of openings in a side of said moveable fire pot, near a bottom thereof; B. a holding bin, said bin being attached to said at least one wall of said housing and near said open top; C. a heat shield wall located between said bin and said fire pot; D. a motor configured with a gear box that is electrically energized, said motor controlled by a rheostat, said electrical motor, said motor and gear box being attached to said at least one wall of said housing below said holding bin; E. an auger, said auger being driven by said motor and gear box, said auger passing through said at least one wall with a distal end extending over the top of said moveable fire pot; F. an air motor that is electrically energized and said air motor being attached to at least one wall of said housing such that air is forced into said moveable fire pot openings said air motor being controlled by a rheostat.

    Description

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0006] FIG. 1 is a full front view of the housing with the fire pot in shown in phantom.

[0007] FIG. 2 is a full side view of the housing with the fire pot and auger shown in phantom.

[0008] FIG. 3 is a full top view of the housing with the auger over the fire pot.

[0009] FIG. 4 is a full front view of the fire pot.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] FIG. 1 shows the front of the housing 4 with the moveable fire pot 18 shown in phantom. The housing 4 of the mobile campfire 2 has a front panel 8, a back panel 6, a first side 10 and a second side 12. The housing 4 of the movable campfire 2 has a bottom 14, an open top 16 and a moveable fire pot 18.

[0011] FIG. 2 shows the second side 12 of the housing 4 of the mobile campfire 2 with the fire pot 18 and auger 30 in phantom. The housing 4 has a back panel 6, a front panel 8 a first side 10 and a second side 12. Contained within the housing 4 is a moveable fire pot 18. The movable fire pot 18 sits on the bottom 14 of the housing 4.

[0012] Attached to the back panel 6 is a holding bin 22. The holding bin 22 contains biomass that is feed into the housing 4 and fire pot 18. The biomass is feed from the holding bin 22 into the fire pot 18 by an auger 30. The auger 30 has a housing 32 that retains the biomass as it travels along the travel of the auger 30 until it reaches the distal end 34 and is eventually fed into the movable fire pot 18.

[0013] The moveable campfire 2 has a battery 28 that supplies power to the motor 24, blower 36 and the thermostat 40. The battery and electronic equipment are connected by wiring.

[0014] The auger 30 is operated by an electric motor 24. This electric motor 24 drives a gear box 26 which in turn rotates the auger 30 that manipulates the biomass contained in the holding bin 22.

[0015] The battery 28 also powers the blower 36. The blower 36 is controlled by the thermostat 40. The indication by the thermostat 40 for more heat triggers the electric motor 24 which drives the gear box 26 feeding more biomass from the holding bin 22 into the moveable fire pot 18. It also signals the blower to respond by supplying forced air to circulate the heat.

[0016] FIG. 3 shows the housing 4 from the top 16 with the auger 30 over the moveable fire pot 18. The near end 32 of the auger 30 is within the holding bin 22. The near end opening 42 of the auger housing 38 allows the biomass to end the auger 30. The distal end 34 of the auger housing allows for the discharge of the biomass directly into the moveable fire pot 18. The housing 4 has a back panel 6, a front panel 8 a first side 10 and a second side 12. Contained within the housing 4 is a moveable fire pot 18. The movable fire pot 18 sits on the bottom 14 of the housing 4. Attached to the back panel 6 is a holding bin 22.

[0017] FIG. 4 shows the moveable fire pot 18 from the front. The moveable fire pot 18 is supported by a plurality of legs 44. The movable fire pot 18 also has a plurality of openings 20 near its bottom edge 46 that enhance air flow to allow a more even burning of the biomass contained within the moveable fire pot 18.
