    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0021] In this detailed description, the novelty according to the invention is only disclosed for better understanding of the subject without forming any limiting effect.

[0022] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the drum (10) according to the invention. Accordingly, the drum (10) basically comprises a body (11), horizontal bars (112) forming said body (11) and preferably arranged at intervals along an elliptical or polygonal geometry, and a helical expanding wrap (13) surrounding said horizontal bars (112). Along the body (11), fixing plates (111) are found where the horizontal bars (112) are mounted at certain intervals. In order to ensure the drive and rotational motion of the drum (10), shafts (12) are found, which transmits the motion it takes from a drive unit to the drum (10).

[0023] The drum (10) performs rotational motion by means of the shafts (12) found at the center and at both sides of the body (11). A plurality of horizontal bars (112) are connected to fixing plates (111) in a way that they can provide an elliptical or polygonal geometry and have a distance between thereof determined according to the requirements of the preferably.

[0024] The horizontal bars (112) arranged at intervals so as to form an elliptical or polygonal-formed section can provide multiple horizontal linear strikes on the fabric and can impact deeper on the fabric. At the same time, as a result of the rotation of the drum (10), an increased beating effect is provided onto the fabric by applying extra bending to the fabric among the bars (112). This extra beating effect is obtained more at the bars (112) that are found at the opposing narrow sides of the elliptical geometry structure.

[0025] Said expanding wrap (13) surrounds the body (11) from the middle part of the body (11) to both sides in the opposite direction of the rotation. While the horizontal bars (112) apply beating on the fabric, said helical expanding wrap (13) expands the fabric and keeps it open continuously during beating.

[0026] The drum (10) according to the invention can be used in tasks such as tension elimination, softening, providing volume by bulking/puffing up, correcting weaving, knitting constructions and pile directions (grains), cleaning dusts caused due to material and production method, and increasing frictional resistance of woven or knitted, plain or piled fabrics, carpets or textile products produced by methods other than weaving or knitting in machines that perform textile finishing, by having the expanding and beating functions together.
