    Abstract

A folding portable arm-wrestling competition table for use by two players that can be disposed in either a transportation mode or a playing mode. In the playing mode the table is designed to be set upon any available solid surface that is a comfortable size and height for the players to compete, the table is a rectangular open bottom framed box, it has two foam elbow pads, two foam pin pads and two hand grip posts, all of which set into specific cutouts on the table. In the transportation mode the table folds in half using a hinge that is on the underside of the table, all of the pads and the handgrips are easily removed from cutouts and are stored advantageously inside of the table itself, the table can then be secured in a closed position and carried using carrying handles attached to the ends of the table.

    Claims

    1. A folding portable arm-wrestling table comprising: a frame having a first end, a second end, a first side, a second side, a top and a bottom; the top of said table has four cut outs for pads to be inserted, two holes for hand posts to be inserted; the sides and ends of said table support the said top to a specific elevation; the sides of said table each have an attached carrying handle.

    2. The table of claim 1 is split in half and connected by means of a hinge creating two equal mirrored pieces that can close and latch upon the ends meeting.

    3. The pads described in claim 1 extend to the surface that said table is resting upon, giving all the force, and or body weight of competitors onto the resting surface and not onto said table.

    4. The pads and hand posts of claim 1 can be removed from said top of table and placed inside of said table when table is closed upon the hinge described in claim 2.

    5. To prevent the table of claim 1 from slipping during competition there are eight nonslip rubber pads installed on the underside edge of each section.

    Description

    DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0017] FIG. 1 illustrates the table in the upright open playing position displaying cut out holes where two elbow and two pin pads are inserted. Also shown are two removable player hand grips at each end of the of the board.

[0018] FIG. 2 shows the table in an inverted position from FIG. 1 displaying the components made up of two foam elbow pads, two foam pin pads and two player hand grips in their stored position.

[0019] FIG. 3 is an illustration of an inverted partially folded table from FIG. 1 which demonstrates the table's folding functionality.

[0020] FIG. 4 illustrates a fully closed table in where the two elbow pads, two pin pads and two player hand grips are stored in the cavity between the two folded sections. Also shown are two handles at the top edge of each table section and used for its portable functionality.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0021] The invention will now be discussed in more detail referring to the drawings.

[0022] FIG. 1 shows both sections of the table 4 in an unfolded playing position. There are two rectangular holes 10 in the table's playing surface 4 for the player's elbow pads 1. Arrows are used to show the placement of those elbow pads 1 to be inserted into the rectangular holes 10 in the table's playing surface 4. The elbow pads 1 extend to the surface that folding portable arm-wrestling table is resting upon, giving all the force, and or body weight of competitors onto the resting surface and not onto said table. There are also two rectangular holes 9 in the table's playing surface 4 for the player's pin pads 2. Arrows are used to show the placement of those pin pads 9 to be inserted into the rectangular holes 9 in the table's playing surface 4. At the end of each table section 4 there are round holes 11 which are used to insert and secure the player's handle grips 3. Carrying handles 7 are positioned in the center of the outside edge 5 at the end of each table section 4. Installed on the bottom side of edges 5 & 6 of each table section 4 there are eight nonslip rubber pads 8 that show more clearly in FIG. 2 below. One half of the locking latch 14 is shown below 7 carrying handle to be used when the folded and transported.

[0023] FIG. 2 is an underside view of FIG. 1 above. The main purpose of this view is to show the storage capability of the invention. All of playing components including elbow pads 1, pin pads 2, handle grips 3 can be safely stored in the cavity of the bottom side of the playing surface 4. The handle grips 3 are secured by steel spring grip clips 12. Installed in the middle of the invention is a piano hinge 13 that connects the two identical playing surfaces 4 that allows the table to be folded for carrying and to hold the components 1,2 & 3 in place. Installed on the bottom side of edges 5 & 6 of both table sections 4 there are eight nonslip rubber pads 8. At the end of each table section 4 round holes 11 described in FIG. 1 are used to insert and secure the player's handle grips 3 from the topside of the folding portable arm-wrestling table. The round holes 11 remain vacant and unused in this viewing state. Cut holes 9 & 10 that are described in FIG. 1 above are used to secure pads 1 & 2 from the inventions top side playing surface. Cut holes 9 & 10 remain vacant and unused in this viewing state. Carrying handles 7 are positioned in the center of the outside edge 5 at the end of each table section 4 also shown in FIG. 1 above. One-half of the locking latch 14 is shown below 7 carrying handle to be used when the folded and transported.

[0024] FIG. 3 demonstrates the folding portable arm-wrestling table in a state of being closed upon the piano hinge 13 described in FIG. 2. Sides 6 and ends 5 of the table, including table section 4 meet together to close and form cavity which holds and secures playing components 1,2 & 3 described in FIG. 2 above. Carrying handles 7 are positioned in the center of the outside edge 5 at the end of each table section 4 also shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 above. Cut holes 9 & 10 that are described in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 above are used to secure pads 1 & 2 from the inventions top side playing surface. Cut holes 9 & 10 remain vacant and unused in this viewing state. At the end of each table section 4 round holes 11 described in FIG. 1 are used to insert and secure the player's handle grips 3 from the topside of the folding portable arm-wrestling table.

[0025] FIG. 4 illustrates the folding portable arm-wrestling table in its fully closed portable state. Handles 7 are positioned in the center of the outside edge 5 at the end of each table section 4 also shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 above can now be used to transport the invention. At the end of each table section 4 there are round holes 11 which are used to insert and secure the player's handle grips 3 when the invention is in its playing position referenced in FIG. 1. The round holes 11 remain vacant and unused in this viewing state. Cut holes 9 & 10 that are described in FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 above are used to secure pads 1 & 2 from the inventions top side playing surface. Cut holes 9 & 10 remain vacant and unused in this viewing state. Sides 6 and ends 5 of the table, including table section 4 meet together to close and form cavity which holds and secures playing components 1,2 & 3 described in FIG. 2 above. Both parts of the locking latch 14 are shown below the carrying handles 7 to be used when the folded and transported.
