Abrasive File Eyeliner Pencil Apparatus

Abstract

An abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus for being able to use a single tool for both applying eyeliner and filing nails includes a pencil body having a top end, a bottom end, and a shaft extending therebetween. A pencil core is coaxially coupled within the shaft from the top end to the bottom end. The bottom end of the pencil body is sharpenable to expose the pencil core. An abrasive skin is continuously coupled around the shaft from the top end to the bottom end and is configured to file a user's fingernails.

Claims

1. An abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus comprising: a pencil body having a top end, a bottom end, and a shaft extending therebetween; a pencil core coupled to the pencil body, the pencil core being coaxially coupled within the shaft from the top end to the bottom end, the bottom end of the pencil body being sharpenable to expose the pencil core; and an abrasive skin coupled to the pencil body, the abrasive skin being continuously coupled around the shaft from the top end to the bottom end, the abrasive skin being configured to file a user's fingernails.

2. The abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a grip coupled to the abrasive skin, the grip being slideable along the shaft and configured to be secured by the user to prevent contact between the abrasive skin and the user's fingers.

3. The abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus of claim 2 further comprising the grip having a plurality of ridges radially extending around the shaft.

4. The abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus of claim 3 further comprising each of the plurality of ridges having a width equal to half a distance between adjacent ridges.

5. The abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus of claim 1 further comprising an end cap coupled to the pencil body, the end cap being coupled to the top end.

6. The abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus of claim 5 further comprising the end cap having an eraser.

7. The abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus of claim 1 further comprising the shaft being faceted.

8. The abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus of claim 1 further comprising the abrasive skin being emery paper.

9. An abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus comprising: a pencil body having a top end, a bottom end, and a shaft extending therebetween; an end cap coupled to the pencil body, the end cap being coupled to the top end; a pencil core coupled to the pencil body, the pencil core being coaxially coupled within the shaft from the top end to the bottom end, the bottom end of the pencil body being sharpenable to expose the pencil core; an abrasive skin coupled to the pencil body, the abrasive skin being continuously coupled around the shaft from the top end to the bottom end, the abrasive skin being emery paper configured to file a user's fingernails; and a grip coupled to the abrasive skin, the grip being slideable along the shaft, the grip having a plurality of ridges radially extending around the shaft, each of the plurality of ridges having a width equal to half a distance between adjacent ridges, the grip being configured to be secured by the user to prevent contact between the abrasive skin and the user's fingers.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 3 thereof, a new eyeliner pencil embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0015] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 3, the abrasive file eyeliner pencil apparatus 10 generally comprises a pencil body 12 having a top end 14, a bottom end 16, and a shaft 18 extending therebetween. The shaft 18 may be faceted. A pencil core 20 is coaxially coupled within the shaft 18 from the top end 14 to the bottom end 16. The pencil core 20 may be, but is not limited to, eyeliner makeup or graphite for writing. The bottom end 16 of the pencil body is sharpenable to expose the pencil core 20 for use and to make a fine point 22 for precise application. An end cap 24 is coupled to the top end 14 to prevent the pencil core 20 from being exposed. The end cap 24 may also have an eraser 26 for applications in which the pencil core 20 is erasable.

[0016] An abrasive skin 28 is continuously coupled around the shaft 18 from the top end 14 to the bottom end 16. The abrasive skin 28 may be sprayed on or may be an applied sheet such as an emery paper. The abrasive skin 28 is configured to file a user's fingernails. A grip 30 is coupled to the abrasive skin 38 and is configured to be secured by the user to prevent contact between the abrasive skin 28 and the user's fingers. The abrasive skin 28 is slideable along the shaft 18 as the bottom end 16 is sharpened and the shaft 18 shortens. The grip 30 may have a plurality of ridges 32 radially extending around the shaft 18. Each of the plurality of ridges 32 has a width 34 equal to half a distance 36 between adjacent ridges 32 to provide further grip and prevent shavings from the shaft 18 or other substances from getting stuck between ridges 32.

[0017] In use, the apparatus 10 is secured by the grip 30 and used either as a traditional pencil or as a nail file. The bottom end 16 is sharpened as desired using a standard pencil sharpener.
