    Abstract

    A hat for a person's head, includes a plurality of panels affixed together to form a crown having an upper edge and a lower edge suitable for securing the hat around the person's head, a bill affixed to a first section of said lower edge of said plurality of panels, an aperture formed along said upper edge a top the person's head and positioned to receive an amount of hair or style of the person, an adjuster (strap) affixed to a second section of said lower edge of said plurality of panels and a snap adjuster affixed to a second section of said lower edge of said plurality of panels configured to lock slide-able said adjuster (strap) therein, and for adjusting the hat size for the person's head and thus to facilitate vertical passage of hair or style through the top of the hat.

    Claims

    1. A hat for a person's head, said hat comprising: a plurality of panels affixed together to form a crown having an upper edge and a lower edge suitable for securing the hat around the person's head; a bill affixed to a first section of said lower edge of said plurality of panels; an aperture formed along said upper edge a top the person's head and positioned to receive an amount of hair or style of the person; an adjuster (strap) affixed to a second section of said lower edge of said plurality of panels; and a snap adjuster affixed to a second section of said lower edge of said plurality of panels configured to lock slide-able said adjuster (strap) therein, and for adjusting the hat size for the person's head.

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

    [0025] FIG. 1, A and B is an example of Expo-fit (headwear with vertical portal and methods of use) headwear with the bib facing toward the right in the page (i.e., view or parts shown). The bib, panels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are shown connected to one another to form the crown or dome of the headwear and may be configured with the center or upper edge configured left open or having a vertical opening or portal. The panels may be sewn together to form the crown of the headwear. The panels are connected to form a dome that may function to fit around the individual's head. The snap adjuster and alternate adjuster function to enable the headwear to be adjusted for different head sizes. The drawstring and drawstring toggle is shown in the position that it will function, allowing positioning per the style of hair the person is wearing and head size.

    [0026] FIG. 2 is the back view of the Expo-fit (headwear with vertical portal and methods of use) headwear showing the adjuster (strap) and snap fastener (i.e., an assembled view) which enables expo-fit to be adjustable in circumference and function accordingly to the individual wearing of Expo-fit headwear, as well as to their choice of hairstyle. The snap fastener is made of two pieces the male and female component, of which the male component snaps into the female component in order to keep adjuster (strap) locked in position. The adjuster (strap) may be made of a piece of fabric/leather and a metal attachment that allows the leather piece to tighten and adjust to the individual's head size.     [0028] FIG. 3, A, is a top view of Expo-fit (headwear with vertical portal and methods of use) with vertical opening or portal shown open and ready to receive hair therethrough ready for use as it is to be opened while functioning. The center vertical opening or portal may be formed with the 6 panels that are sewn together and the drawstring is placed therearound the edge in the center (toggle looped in drawstring) and the panels are sewn over the string along the upper edge of the panels. The drawstring is held together with a conduit/toggle that allows the center of the panels to close in the desired position. FIG. 3, B, is an exploded view on the female portion of the adjuster (strap) and snap fastener, which shows how the hat will be firmly positioned. The male position the may be located within the 3.sub.rd panel and configured to snap inside of the female portion of the snap fastener.

    [0031] FIG. 5 is an in use view of Expo-fit, (head wear with vertical portal and methods of use) (i.e., an in use view showing how it's used) the individual's hair is exposed at the center of Expo-fit shown passing through vertical opening or portal. The individual must place Expo-fit around their head and snap the fastener and adjust it to their head size. After the individual snaps and adjusts Expo-fit, the user may position their hair or style through the center and draw string may be pulled tight to grip hair or style and hold same in position proximate vertical opening or portal.
