Abstract
The invention relates to display devices for displaying artworks, advertising materials, informational materials, materials of a decorative nature, and the like, in public or private setting.
The present display device comprises a base (1) with a rotary drive mechanism (2), and a drive shaft (3) with a rod (6) that is configured for axial movement relative to said shaft (3) and for the attachment, by means of a catch (7), of a three-dimensional display body (8) in the form of a regular polyhedron rigidly fastened for rotation to the rod (6) by one of its vertices and being oriented in the direction of its diagonal, wherein the faces of the display body are comprised of a number of display plates (11) removably fastened to a space frame (9), inside which are a number of reinforcing elements (10).
Claims
1. A display device containing a base 1 with a rotation drive mechanism 2, a drive shaft 3 with a rod 6 movable in the axial direction relative to the shaft 3 with the possibility of fixing on it using a lock 7, a three-dimensional demonstration body 8 in the form of a regular polyhedron rigidly fixed on the rod 6 on its top in the direction of its diagonal with the possibility of its rotation, the faces of which make up several demonstration plates 11, fixed on a spatial frame 9, containing several reinforcing elements 10 inside.
2. Demonstration device containing a base 1 with a rotation drive mechanism 2, a drive shaft 3 with a rod 6 movable in the axial direction relative to the shaft 3 with the possibility of fixing on it using a lock 7, a three-dimensional demonstration body 8 in the form of a suspended regular polyhedron by means of a device 19 for its top on the rod 6, with the possibility of its rotation, the faces of which make up several demonstration plates 11, fixed on a spatial frame 9, containing several reinforcing elements 10 inside.
3. The device according to clauses 1 and 2, wherein the three-dimensional display body 8 is selected from the group consisting of a cube, a truncated cube, an octahedron, a truncated octahedron, a dodecahedron, or an icosahedron.
4. The device referred to by clauses 1, 2 and 3, wherein the display plates 11 are removable.
5. The device referred to by clauses 1, 2, 3 and 4, wherein the reinforcing elements 10 are equipped with sources of light 14 and sound 15, powered by an independent current source 13 and controlled by a programmable device 16.
6. The device referred to by any of the clauses 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, wherein the contents of the plates 11 are of various types with a common or different concept.

[0020] One of the embodiments of the device with a display 3D cube-shaped body floor standing version is described as follows.
[0021] According to the invention the device (
[0022] The demonstration device operates as follows. After the device is installed in the place desired for display, in a public or private space, one adjusts the required height at which the body 8 will be placed manipulating the lock 7 and the rod 6. The power source is connected to infeed the rotation drive mechanism 2. The speed of rotation of the body 8 is programmed manually by means of device 18 or remotely by means of device 17. By means of device 17, the operating mode is programmed for sources of light 14 and sound 15, which are powered by a current source 13. According to the selected program a stream of light and sound is emitted through the gaps 12, from the inside to the outside of the case. If necessary, the body 8 can also be illuminated from the outside in a known manner, but not described here. Due to the fact that the body 8, having the shape of a cube and being installed on top, makes all the faces of the cube visible, i.e., all surfaces of the display plates 11 sequentially move in front of the visitor, displaying their content.
[0023] The suspended version of the device (
[0024] The operating mode of the device and the control of the device in the suspended state are identical to those described above.
