DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0009] Reference will now be made in detail to the present preferred embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. All terms in the plural shall also be taken as singular and vice-versa. Further, any reference to he shall also be applicable to she and vice-versa.
[0010] Referring now to
[0011] The wood burning heater 100 has an external box 102. The external box 102 provides a cabinet or outer shell. The external box 102 normally is insulated with flame retardant or resistant insulation such that the external box 102 does not have an external temperature that will cause a fire or a severe burn.
[0012] The external box 102 has an inside 104, outside 106, front 108, back 110, a first side 112, a second side 114, and a bottom 116. The inside 104 of the external box 102 has a inner fire box 118. The inner fire box 118 is insulated and flame resistant or retardant. A wood holder 120 is placed in the inner fire box 118 to hold wood 122. The wood 122 is placed on a wood holder 120. A fire 128 is started under the wood holder 120, to ignite the wood 122. The wood 122 can be hardwood of any kind such as oak, maple, etc. or may be a gas log which is coupled to a gas feed, not shown.
[0013] The inner fire box 118 may also have a door 124 that can prevent embers from leaving the inner fire box 118 to help prevent starting a fire and to prevent embers coming in contact with those people and animals.
[0014] A venting pipe 126 is coupled through the external box 102 into the inner box 118 to allow the carbon dioxide and smoke to depart the wood burning heater 100 without filling the room.
[0015] The wood burning heater 100 also has a fan 130 installed. The fan 130 brings air into the inner fire box 118 to allow more air access for the flame, thus the flame will burn hotter.
[0016] The wood burning heater 100 may be placed on a trailer 132. When the wood burning heater 100 is placed on the trailer 132, the wood burning heater 100 is mobile and may moved easily to other location. The wood burning heater 100 may also have other means of portability, such as, wheels, ski blades, rollers, etc. The wood burning heater 100 may be placed in a pick-up truck, the pick-up truck has a bed which accommodates the wood burning heater 100.
[0017] Turning now to
[0018] The back 110 of the external box 100 has a blower apparatus 210. The blower apparatus 210 is useful for providing moving air into the inner fire box 118 of the wood burning heater 100.
[0019] When the fire 128 is igniting and burning the wood 122, the CO2 and the smoke are expelled through the venting pipe 126. The blower apparatus 210 has a control switch 204. The control switch 204 is useful to set the blower apparatus 210 at a setting which is optimal or desirable by a user. The control switch 204 has a setting scale 206. For example, the scale 206 of the control switch 204 may allow the blower apparatus to be turned off, as the current setting is shown, or may show the blower apparatus 210 to be set at a percentage of the total amount of air that the blower apparatus 210 can expel. The control switch 204 may be powered by a battery, by an electrical connection, solar powered battery, etc. The control switch 204 may be a manual thermostat, etc.
[0020] To set the scale 206 to the desired setting is a knob 208. The knob 208 is turned to the desired setting on the scale 206 and is easily changeable such that the air can be controlled real-time by a user.
[0021] The features described with respect to one embodiment may be applied to other embodiments or combined with or interchanged with the features of other embodiments, as appropriate, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0022] Other embodiments of the invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification and practice of the invention disclosed herein. It is intended that the specification and examples be considered as exemplary only, with a true scope and spirit of the invention being indicated by the following claims.
