Abstract
A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material with a helical shaped member made of biodegradable material, the helical shape having an S shaped cross section, the biodegradable capable of withstanding temperatures as high as one hundred and eighty degrees Fahrenheit, the helical shaped member being fitted into the end portion of a cigarette containing shredded botanical material, the helical shaped member having a wall thickness of approximately fifty thousandths of an inch, the helical shaped member having an overall length of approximately three quarters of an inch to one and one quarter of an inch, and the helical shaped member having an overall diameter of approximately three hundred thousandths of an inch. A preferred embodiment includes the biodegradable material is baked ground wheat, beet, rice, corn, lentil, or quinoa flour.
Claims
1. a helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material comprising: a helical shaped member made of biodegradable material; said helical shape having an S shaped cross section; said biodegradable capable of withstanding temperatures as high as one hundred- and eighty-degrees Fahrenheit; said helical shaped member being fitted into the end portion of a cigarette containing shredded botanical material; said helical shaped member having a wall thickness of approximately fifty thousandths of an inch; said helical shaped member having an overall length of approximately three quarters of an inch to one and one quarter of an inch; and said helical shaped member having an overall diameter of approximately three hundred thousandths of an inch.
2. A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material as claimed in claim 1 wherein said biodegradable material is baked ground flour.
3. A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material as claimed in claim 1 wherein the number of twists in said helical shaped member is approximately three to four.
4. A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material as claimed in claim 1 wherein said biodegradable material is sugar based biodegradable plastic.
5. A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material as claimed in claim 1 wherein said biodegradable material is hemp.
6. A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material as claimed in claim 1 wherein said biodegradable material is finely chopped paper.
7. A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material as claimed in claim 1 wherein said biodegradable material is infused with additional components for the purpose of smoke particle capture or for flavoring.
8. A helical shaped filter made of biodegradable material as claimed in claim 1 wherein said S shaped cross section is modified by extending the ends of the said S shape to a form closer to a figure eight.
