    Abstract

    The invention relates to a backrest for devices driven by means of pedals comprising a holder for fastening to the device and a contact surface for supporting a person operating the device, wherein the contact surface has a base body, on which at least one spherical segment-shaped contact surface, a roller segment-shaped contact surface arranged parallel to the pedals when in use, and/or a contact surface, which can be moved relative to the base body, is arranged.

    The invention furthermore relates to a saddle comprising a backrest, in the case of which the backrest is arranged in an articulated manner relative to the saddle, preferably so as to lock in place, in order to form an essentially horizontal saddle extension.

    Claims

    1. A backrest (1) for devices (2) driven by means of pedals comprising a holder (5) for fastening to the device (2) and a contact surface (6) for supporting a person operating the device, wherein the contact surface (6, 10, 11, 25-28, 31-36, 40-43) has a base body (7, 46, 51, 73), on which at least one spherical segment-shaped contact surface (10, 11), which can be moved relative to the base body, or a roller segment-shaped contact surface (10, 11) arranged parallel to the pedals when in use, and/or a contact surface (10, 11), which can be moved relative to the base body (7, 46, 51, 73), is arranged, wherein a spherical or a spherical segment-shaped contact surface (40 to 43) is arranged in the base body (7, 46, 51, 73) so as to be rotatably mounted around an axis (44, 45, 49, 50, 63) or in a cage (12) or the contact surface is a roller segment or has the surface of a roller (47, 48) and is arranged on the base body (7, 46, 51, 73).

    2. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein it has at least two spaced-apart contact surfaces (10, 11).

    3. The backrest (1) according to claim 2, wherein the distance of the contact surfaces (10, 11) can be set so as to be capable of being fixed relative to one another.

    4. The backrest (1) according to claim 2, wherein the contact surfaces (10, 11) are arranged on both sides of the holder.

    5. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein the at least one contact surface (10, 11) is mounted elastically relative to the base body (7).

    6. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein the at least one contact surface (10, 11) is formed elastically.

    7. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein together, several contact surfaces (10, 11) are elastically mounted relative to the base body (7).

    8. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein the base body (7) has at least two lever arms (14, 15), which are connected to one another so as to be capable of being set via a joint (16).

    9. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein the base body (7) has at least two lever arms (14, 15) and the length of at least one of the lever arms can be set.

    10. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein the base body (7) has a saddle fastening means (17) for fastening to a saddle (4).

    11. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein the base body (7) has a saddle post fastening means (19) for fastening to a saddle post (3).

    12. The backrest (1) according to claim 10, wherein a connecting rod is connected in an articulated manner to the saddle fastening means (17) and the saddle post fastening means (19).

    13. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein it has several contact surfaces (10, 11) and a holder (24) between these contact surfaces (10, 11).

    14. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein at least one contact surface (10, 11) is the surface of a sphere (8, 9).

    15. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein at least one contact surface is the surface of a roller (47, 48).

    16. The backrest (1) according to claim 14, wherein the contact surface (47, 48) is mounted so as to be movable around at least one axis (49, 50).

    17. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein it has a saddle cover and/or a bicycle lock.

    18. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein it has a bicycle light.

    19. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein it has a sender.

    20. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein it has a sensor and a pressure cylinder (74) for changing the position of the contact surface (6), in order to thus vary the contact pressure of the contact surface (6) on the back of a user.

    21. A saddle comprising the backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein the backrest (1) is arranged in an articulated manner relative to the saddle (4), preferably so as to lock in place, in order to form an essentially horizontal saddle extension.

    22. A device, in particular bicycle, comprising the saddle (4) according to claim 21.

    23. The backrest (1) according to claim 1, wherein at least one contact surface is the surface of a sphere (8,9) or a roller (47, 48), and wherein the sphere or roller is rotatably mounted on an axle.
