Abstract
An overall has a front and a back with sides there between and has an upper section and a lower section. The upper section includes a bib front with pockets. The bib front has a V-shaped upper front edge terminating with upper front buttons. The pockets have a V-shaped upper edge adjacent to the upper edge of the bib front. The V-shaped upper front edge of the bib front and the V-shaped upper edge of the pockets form an upper opening. Two fasteners separably couple the pockets and the bib front. The upper section has a back with an upper back edge. The upper section has straps positioned between the bib front and the back of the upper section. The straps have two hooks forwardly. The hooks are adapted to separably couple with the upper front buttons.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0025] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0026] The present invention, the apparel system 10 is comprised of a plurality of components. Such components in their broadest context include an overall with an upper section and a lower section. Such components are individually configured and correlated with respect to each other so as to attain the desired objective.
[0027] The primary embodiment of the apparel system 10 is for extending the utility of work clothes and for converting work clothes to dress clothes. The extending and the converting are done in a safe, convenient, and economical manner.
[0028] First provided is an overall 14. The overall has a front 16 and a back 18 with. sides 20 there between. The overall also has an upper section 22 and a lower section 24 with an intermediate section 26 there between.
[0029] The upper section 22 includes a bib front 30. The bib front has a V-shaped upper front edge 32 terminating in two upper front buttons 34. The bib front has a primary sheet 36 and a similarly configured secondary sheet 38. Primary peripheral stitching 40 couples the primary and secondary sheets to form a sheet assembly 42. The sheet assembly has an upper edge 44 adjacent to the upper edge of the bib front. The sheet assembly has two exterior edges 46 and two interior edges 48 and two lower edges 50. Secondary stitching 52 couples the sheet assembly to the bib front along the exterior and interior and lower edges of the sheet assembly to form two primary pockets 54 between the primary and secondary sheets and to form two secondary pockets 56 between the secondary sheet and the bib front. Two primary openings with zippers 58 are formed in the primary sheet. One of the zippers is for each primary pocket. Two secondary openings are provided with snaps 60 coupling the upper edge of the bib front and the upper edge of the secondary sheet. One of the snaps is for each secondary pocket.
[0030] The upper section has a back with V-shaped upper back edges 64. The upper section has straps 66 positioned between the bib front 30 and the back 18 of the overall and extending over shoulders of a wearer. Each strap includes a slide buckle 68 and is formed with narrow widths as extensions of the back of the overall. Each strap has a forward end terminating with a hook 70 forwardly adapted to separably couple with the button for forming a lateral arm opening 72 for an arm of a wearer and for facilitating the donning and removal of the overall. Each lateral arm opening includes an engageable side button 74 with an associated button hole 76 for facilitating the donning and removal of the overall.
[0031] The lower section has two laterally spaced leg parts 80 below and a hips part 82 above.
[0032] The intermediate section 26 includes a lower end 86 formed as an integral extension of the lower section. The intermediate section also includes an upper end 88 integrally formed as an extension of the upper section. The intermediate section has side slits formed as continuations of the lateral arm openings of the upper section.
[0033] Lastly, a covering garment 94 is provided. The covering garment is worn over the upper section of the overall and entirely hides the upper section of the overall.
[0034] An alternate embodiment of the invention is shown in
[0035] As to the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.
[0036] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.
[0037] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
