Abstract
A central component is positionable in a generally horizontal plane around a waist of the wearer. The central component is formed as an arc of a circle. The central component has an end with male screw threads. A peripheral component is positionable in a generally vertical plane adjacent to the waist of the wearer when worn. The peripheral component has an inner end with inner male screw threads and an outer end. A coupling ball has a diametric aperture formed with ends with female screw threads receiving the end of the central component and the inner end of the peripheral component.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
(7) With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
(8) The present invention, the belly bangle system 10 is comprised of a plurality of components. Such components in their broadest context include a central component and a peripheral component and a coupling ball. Such components are individually configured and correlated with respect to each other so as to attain the desired objective.
(9) From a specific perspective, the invention of the present application is a belly bangle system 10 for adorning a body of a wearer and for varying an appearance of the wearer through an interchange of various optional components of the system. The adorning and the varying are done in a safe, eye-appealing, convenient, and economical manner. The system comprises, in combination, a central component 14 positionable in a generally horizontal plane around a waist of the wearer. The central component is formed as an arc of a circle. The arc extending from 270 degrees to 315 degrees. The central component has a length of from 18 inches to 26 inches. The central component has a first end with first male screw threads 16 and a second end with second male screw threads 18.
(10) A first peripheral component 24 has a generally spiral configuration positionable in a generally vertical plane adjacent to the waist of the wearer when worn. The first peripheral component has an inner end with first inner male screw threads 26 and an outer end with first outer male screw threads 28.
(11) A second peripheral component 34 has a generally serpentine configuration positionable in a generally vertical plane adjacent to the waist of the wearer when worn. The second peripheral component has an inner end with second inner male screw threads 36 and an outer end with second outer male screw threads 38.
(12) A plurality of optional peripheral component include random curves 44, and an irregular spiral 144, and loops 244. All of the optional peripheral components are positionable in a generally vertical plane adjacent to the waist of the wearer when worn. Each of the plurality of optional peripheral components has an inner end with optional peripheral inner male screw threads 48, 148, 248 and an outer end with optional peripheral outer male screw threads 50, 150, 250.
(13) The central component and the first and second peripheral components and the plurality of optional peripheral components all have a circular cross sectional configuration with a diameter of 0.0625 inches, plus or minus 20 percent. The central component and the first and second peripheral components and the plurality of optional components are all fabricated of spring steel with silver plating.
(14) A first coupling ball 54 and a second coupling ball 56 are next provided. The first and second coupling balls each have a diametric aperture 58 and a threaded radial aperture 60. Each diametric aperture has ends with female screw threads 62, 64 receiving an end of the central component and an inner end of a peripheral component respectively. A set screw 68 is threadedly received in the radial aperture to hold together an end of the central component and an inner end of a peripheral component.
(15) Two end caps 72, 74 are threadedly received on the outer ends of the peripheral components respectively. The two end caps each have a decorative shape including a spherical shape and a diamond shape.
(16) Lastly provided, a plurality of slide balls 78 are slidably received on the central component and on at least one peripheral and optional peripheral components.
(17) The coupling balls and the end caps and the slide balls are preferably fabricated of brass.
(18) As to the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.
(19) With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.
(20) Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
