Abstract
A spindle for an ice machine comprising an essentially cylindrical body, which on a first end has a hollow for the insertion thereof into the corresponding area of the ice machine, and on a second end it incorporates a shaft designed to be attached to a reducer motor or another element able to transmit a torque force thereto such that it provides the continuous movement thereof; and wherein the body has on the outer surface thereof, a double-pitch helix, wherein the pitch of the helix will be in proportion to the diameter thereof, and the height of the helix in proportion to the core thereof.
Claims
1. A spindle for an ice machine, the spindle comprising: an essentially cylindrical body, the essentially cylindrical body having: a first end, and a second end, wherein the essentially cylindrical body which on the first end has a hollow portion for insertion into a corresponding area of the ice machine, the essentially cylindrical body which on the second end, the spindle includes a shaft designed to be attached to a reducer motor or another element able to transmit a torque force on the shaft such that the shaft provides continuous movement, the essentially cylindrical body has, on the outer surface of the essentially cylindrical body, a double-pitch helix, the pitch of the double-pitch helix is in proportion with the diameter of the essentially cylindrical body, and the height of tire double-pitch helix is in proportion to the core of the essentially cylindrical body.
2. The spindle for the ice machine according to claim 1, wherein said double-pitch helix having a tooth, the tooth of the double-pitch helix has a curved shape in an upper portion of the double-pitch helix, the tooth having two cutting areas for laminating ice, and in a lower portion of the double-pitch helix, the tooth has a flat area located at a certain angle with respect to the shaft.
