Ear Protective Coverings During Hair Treatments

Abstract

An ear protective covering fits snugly, includes a pliant body, an interior cavity, and an ear receiving opening providing access to the interior cavity. The ear receiving opening has a peripheral elastic, whereby the ear receiving opening engages an ear of a person wearing the protective covering. The ear protective covering protects one's ear from contact with chemicals from hair treatment products.

Claims

1. An ear protective covering for use during hair treatment applications.

2. An ear protective covering, as defined in claim 1, comprising a pliant body having an ear receiving opening which provides access to the interior cavity, envelopes the entire ear, and holds snugly to the ear.

3. An ear protective covering as defined in claim 2, wherein the ear receiving opening has a peripheral elastic, whereby the ear receiving opening engages an ear of a person wearing the protective covering.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0013] The preferred embodiment, an ear protective covering generally identified by reference numeral 10, will now be described with reference to FIGS. 1 through 4.

[0015] Referring to FIG. 3, there is provided an ear protective covering 10 that includes a pliant body 9 and a receiving opening 8 for the ear. The body 9 is a pliant material that protects the ear from contact with any hair treatment products. Referring to FIG. 3, ear receiving opening 8 has a peripheral elastic 7. Referring to FIGS. 2, 3, and 4, ear receiving opening 8 engages an ear 6 of a person 5 wearing the ear protective covering 10.

[0017] The use of ear protective covering 10 will now be described with references to FIGS. 1 through 4. Referring to FIG. 1, ear protective covering 10 is intended for use by a person 5 applying a hair treatment product 12 from a treatment product applicator bottle 11 to hair 14 in order to have treatment applied to hair 13. Referring to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, prior to using a hair treatment product 12, person 5 places ear protective covering 10 over their ears 6 by inserting their ears 6 through ear receiving opening 8. Peripheral elastic 7 will secure ear protective covering 10 in place on ear 6. Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, once ear protective covering 10 is securely in place, person 5 can apply hair treatment product 12 without the risk of hair treatment product 12 coming in contact with ear 6. Ear protective covering 10 completely covers ear 6. Pliant body 9 shields ear 6 from contact with hair treatment product 12.
