3. A removable cover for sports equipment according to claim 1 wherein an expandable collar made of expandable material can be stretched to consider the insertion of sports equipment.
Description
[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a protective cover that allows sports equipment to dry effectively. Equipment users may not take cumbersome procedures to remove equipment from a cover used in transportation to dry separately. Composition includes a material that allows airflow, preventing rust.
[0006] Another object is to provide a removable cover that protects equipment and transportation vehicles during transportation, and protects equipment in storage.
[0007] Others have provided protective covers for various types of sporting equipment. As an example, U.S. Pat. No. 490,491 entitled “Cover for a skateboard or snowboard” that issued on Feb. 28, 2003 provides a one-piece removable cover for a snowboard. While the cover disclosed covers the bottom and circumferential edges of equipment, it does not provide airflow in order to allow equipment to dry, preventing rust.
[0008] Previously issued United States patents are representative of the state of the art to which the present invention is directed and illustrate that, while others have demonstrated an appreciation of the need to protect equipment used in sporting activities, none have provided protection for all the critical areas required for sports equipment transportation and storage.
[0009] A better understanding of the invention will be obtained from the following description of the preferred embodiments and claims, taken in conjunction with the attached drawings.
