Abstract
A fastening element configured for attachment to a wearable clothing or accessory substrate whereby ornamental elements are configured for removable fastening thereto for changeable decorative appearance of the clothing or accessory wherein the fastening element is ornamental in appearance whereby it is aesthetically viewable with or without ornamental elements fastened thereto and whereby the fastener is able to be integrated with appearance of the ornamental element or completely hidden by the ornamental elements.
Claims
1. A fastening element configured for attachment to a wearable clothing or accessory substrate whereby ornamental elements are configured for removable fastening thereto for changeable decorative appearance of the clothing or accessory wherein the fastening element is recognizably aesthetically ornamental in appearance whereby it is aesthetically viewable with or without ornamental elements fastened thereto, wherein it does not visually appear as a fastener or is configured to have independent ornamentality, and whereby the fastener is able to be integrated with appearance of the ornamental element or completely hidden by the ornamental elements.
2. An article of wearable clothing or accessory having at least one fastening element of claim 1 thereon.
3. The fastening element of claim 1 comprising a structure having detent elements for engagement with an ornamental element having a cofitting detent structure.
4. The fastening element of claim 3, wherein the detent elements are hidden from external view by an ornamental section and wherein the detent elements are laterally accessed by the cofitting detent structure.
5. The fastening element of claim 1 wherein the fastening element comprises a decorative peg board appearance and fastening structure.
6. An article of clothing or a wearable accessory having a decorative and desirably interchangeable ornamental element thereon or integrated therewith with the ornamental element having a communication element therein.
7. The article of clothing or wearable accessory of claim 2, wherein the ornamental element is fastened to the article of clothing or accessory with a fastening element integrated therewith and wherein the fastening element is located directly within the ornamental element.
8. The article of clothing or wearable accessory of claim 2, wherein the fastening element comprises an interfitting shaped male/female connector to a magnetic interface or fastener, thereby creating additional points of contact between a magnet and a substrate metal surface for engagement.
9. The article of clothing or wearable accessory of claim 2, wherein the clothing or wearable accessory is selected from footwear, headwear, helmets, headphones, eyewear and carrying bags.
10. The article of clothing of claim 9 wherein the footwear is an athletic shoe or sneaker, sandal, slipper, shoe and ballerina shoe.
11. The article of clothing or wearable accessory of claim 1, wherein the ornamental elements comprise ornamentally configured utilitarian devices.
12. The article of clothing or a wearable accessory of claim 6, wherein the ornamental element is configured to integrally become interchangeable in visibly appearing design and function without being physically removed or changed from the article of clothing or accessory.
13. The article of clothing or wearable accessory of claim 6, wherein the communication element is configured to communicate with a mobile device for exchange of information between the ornamental element and the mobile device.
14. The article of clothing or wearable accessory of claim 11 wherein the utilitarian devices comprise a member of the group consisting of camera's, trackers, and lighted elements.
15. The article of clothing or wearable accessory of claim 2, wherein the fastening element comprises a decorative ridge element to which the ornamental element is configured to be removably attached.
16. The article of wearable clothing of claim 2, wherein the ornamental element is configured to be separately directly worn as a jewelry item.
17. The article of wearable clothing of claim 13 wherein the ornamental element is convertible to a bracelet.
18. A multi-compartment case having separable multiple tiers with a first tier comprising a first tray element with a base and side walls and compartments dimensioned and configured to contain a plurality of interchangeable ornamental elements of claim 1 and a second tray element dimensioned and configured to contain an article of clothing or accessory configured to which the ornamental elements are adapted to be fastened and wherein the first and second tray elements are configured to be connected to provide a unitary case.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0032] With reference to the drawings, FIGS. 1-4 depict an ornamental fastening structure 1 comprised of a removable ornamental clement 2 and an ornamental base fastening element 3. The ornamental base element 3 is affixed to a sibstratc such as a sneaker 10 in FIG. 7A through FIG. 9B. Other exemplary and non-limiting substrates include tire cap 11 in FIGS. 10A-D and 13A; the headphone 12 of FIGS. 11A and 11B; eyeglasses 13 of FIGS. 12A and 12B; and backpack 14 of FIG. 13C as well as sundry shoes and sandals shown in other figures.
[0033] The fastening elements shown in the figures all embody base fastening elements which provide independent ornamental appearance whether with or without additional ornamental elements. This independent ornamental appearance is achieved in the ornamental base element 3 of FIGS. 1-4 with a base structure comprised of an outwardly visible section 3a and a detent structure 3b beneath the ornamentally visible section 3a which is laterally accessible. As shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B ornamental strap 2b includes an integral detent structure 3b configured to engage and removably lock with base detent structure 3b. Sequential Figures 3A-C show, in cutaway view , engagement of indents 30 with protrusions 31. Rounded edges 31 of the protrusions facilitate engagement and disengagement movements. Base detent structure 3b is fully symmetrical whereby lateral engagement of the detent structure with ornament detent structure 3b front any direction.
