    Abstract

The invention is a solution to a problem of how to access a mattress in the top part of a bunk bed to fit bedding without having to climb up to the top or to move the bunk bed away from a wall.

The invention is a metal cassette that is made from angle iron steel, used as a bed mattress carrier; this tray supports the mattress on the upper levels of bunk beds. The cassette tray will act like a draw, carrying the mattress from beneath the bunk bed safety rail towards the user.

The invention and method brings the mattress fully out to the user instead of the user having to going to the mattress by conventional climbing means.

Once the mattress is made up with linen and blankets, the user simply slides the invention back to its original starting position

    Claims

    I. I claim to have invented a method of extracting or removing a bunk bed mattress from the upper levels of a bunk bed for the purpose of mattress replacement or changing or fitting of clean linen and bedding.

II. I claim to have invented a product known in this application as Wonder Tray that will by means of the above method in claim [I], enable a bunk bed mattress to be extracted from beneath the side safety rail of the upper sleeping platforms of a bunk bed for the purpose of mattress replacement or changing or fitting of clean linen and bedding.

    Description

BRIEF DRAWING DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL PARTS

[0005] FIG. 1: View of rectangle metal angel iron mattress carrier frame, the metal angel iron frame houses a mattress within the angled frame. This view is showing the mattress tray and locking bolts, two [2] inserted either end of the frame length

[0006] FIG. 2: This view is the receptor stop plate.

[0007] FIG. 3: This exploded view shows the path of travel of the angel iron frame and locking bolts; once the mattress tray is fully extended, the locking bolts then rest in the throat of the receptor plate.

[0008] FIG. 4: Shows bolt holes in the receptor plate, these bolts holes enable the receptor plate to bolt to bunk bed vertical corner posts.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION IN ACTION TO HELP UNDERSTAND THE METHOD

[0009] FIG. A: Shows tray in home position sitting on existing bunk bed mattress support platform

[0010] FIG. B: Show tray partly extracted though still sitting on existing bunk bed mattress support platform

[0011] FIG. C: Shows tray fully extracted with stop bolts in locked position

[0012] FIG. C1: Shows tray fully extracted with stop bolts in locked position
