Abstract
This invention refers to a neck pillow or travel pillow. In particular, it concerns a travel pillow which is designed as an essentially U-shaped neck pillow and has a first leg (12) and a second leg (14) which are connected by a middle section (16), and has a circumferential inner side and a circumferential outer side and an upper side (18), a lower side (20) and a median plane (M), the travel pillow (10) having on its upper side (18) a contour comprising at least one first hump (72) extending above a ground plane (H), the travel pillow (10) further comprising a hood (50) and a receiving space (52) for said hood (50), characterized in that the receiving space (52) is disposed at least partially below the ground plane (H) of the hump (72).

2. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 1, wherein the receiving space (52) is arranged in the middle section (16) of the pillow (10).
3. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 1, wherein the receiving space (52) is arranged at least predominantly above the median plane (M) of the pillow (10).
4. A travel pillow (10) according to claim 1, wherein the receiving space (52) has a ceiling surface which is flat.
5. A travel pillow (10) according to claim 1, further comprising a second hump (74).
6. A travel pillow (10) according to claim 5, further comprising a third hump and a fourth hump (76).
7. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 6, wherein the third hump is provided in the area of the first leg (12) and the fourth hump (76) is provided in the area of the second leg (14) and wherein the first hump (72) and the second hump (74) are arranged in the middle section (16) and wherein the receiving space lies at least partially below the ground plane (H) of the humps (72, 74) in the middle section (16).
8. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 7, wherein the extent of the receiving space (52) in the direction of rotation is not further than the distance of the humps (72, 74) in the middle section.
9. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 1, wherein the travel pillow (10) comprises an outer shell (44) and a pillow filling (48)
10. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 9, wherein the receiving space (52) for receiving the hood (50) is at least partially enclosed by the pillow filling (48).
11. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 10, wherein a recess is provided in the pillow filling (48) which can serve as a receiving space (52) for the hood (50).
12. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 9, wherein a zipper (30) is provided in the outer shell (44), which zipper (30), in the open state, releases access to the receiving space (52).
13. A travel pillow (10) according to claim 12, wherein the zipper (30) is convex when viewed from the top (18).
14. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 9, in which the outer shell (44) consists of at least two cut-to-size elements which are connected to at least one seam and an opening is provided in the seam.
15. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 1, wherein the hood (50) consists of two cut-to-size elements (58, 60).
16. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 2, wherein the receiving space (52) is arranged at least predominantly above the median plane (M) of the pillow (10).
17. A travel pillow (10) according to claim 2, wherein the receiving space (52) has a ceiling surface which is flat.
18. A travel pillow (10) according to claim 2, further comprising a second hump (74).

20. Travel pillow (10) according to claim 9, wherein the receiving space (52) for receiving the hood (50) is at least partially enclosed by the pillow filling (48).
Description
[0024] Further characteristics, but also advantages of the invention, result from the following drawings and the corresponding description. In the drawings and in the corresponding descriptions, characteristics of the invention are described in combination. However, these characteristics may also be included in other combinations of an object in line with the invention. Each revealed characteristic is thus also to be regarded as revealed in technically meaningful combinations with other characteristics. Some of the drawings are slightly simplified and schematic.

[0032]
[0033]
[0034] A closing loop 26 is provided on the right horn 22. This can be connected to an eye 28 on the left horn 24. So the U-shaped pillow can be placed around the neck and closed at the front so that it supports the neck particularly well on a journey.
[0035]
[0036]
[0037] If this opening of the receiving space 52 comprises two parallel edges, this is generally in line with the invention and allows good access to the hood 50. It is also generally in line with the invention if the receiving space 52 comprises a ceiling surface comprising a flat section.
[0038] The hood 50 is a component of the travel pillow in line with the invention and is essentially taken from the receiving space to accommodate the hood.
[0039]
[0040]
[0041] At both ends of the opening 44 the hood 50 is not connected to the middle section 16 of the pillow 10. Here the hood forms a right tongue 66 and a left tongue 68. These are freely movable in relation to the pillow part. In this way the hood 50 and in particular the cord ends can be gripped well if they are guided in the cord channel 70.
[0042]
[0043]
[0044] As clearly visible in this illustration, the travel pillow has a first hump 72 and a second hump 74. Both are arranged symmetrically to the center vertical S of the pillow. They rise above ground plane H. Since the first zipper 30 is closed, the receiving space 52 to accommodate the hood 50 cannot be seen. However, its position results directly from
[0045]
[0046] All in all, you can see how to make a comfortable travel pillow with pressure-resistant humps and a hood. With the revealed design, the travel pillow does not have to be very voluminous.
