    DETAILED DESCRIPTION

    Snap on Urine Diverter

[0013] FIGS. 1-11 illustrate a detachable snap on urine diverter 100 are shown in the drawings and described in this document. The urine diverter 100 may include attachments 110 which may be comprised of clips or tracks that allow the attachment and detachment to a main solid waste vessel 400. The urine diverter 100 may include a bowl 120 that catches and directs the liquid waste to divert it to another vessel, or elsewhere, other than the solid waste vessel 400. The liquid waste may be directed to an aperture 130 within the bowl 120 of the urine diverter 100 that may have a tube 140 that carries the liquid waste to a vessel or elsewhere other than the solid waste vessel 400 by gravity. The liquid waste may be directed to an aperture 130 within the bowl 120 of the urine diverter 100 that does not have a tube 140 that carries the liquid waste directly to a vessel, or elsewhere, other than the solid vessel 400 by gravity.

[0014] Where the urine diverter's 100 attachments 110 attach to the solid waste vessel 400 of the composting or waterless toilet 450 may be clips or tracks which may be connected in various ways in different embodiments. The clips or tracks may be snaps, hook and loop, magnetic, friction clips, slide on tracks, hooks, tape, adhesive, screws, nails, etc.

[0015] Where the collection of liquid waste occurs, the bowl 120 may be any suitable shape. The bowl 120 may be round or a different geometry, such as oblong, trapezoidal, square, etc. The example illustrations show funnel concave geometry as the example.

[0016] The urine diverter 100 may be comprised of plastic or any suitable material.

[0017] In some embodiments a urine diverter 100 may be seated on top of a solid waste vessel 400.

    In Vessel Urine Diverter

[0018] FIGS. 12-24 shows an additional example embodiment of a in vessel urine diverter 200 that is attached and detached within a void 510 of a solid waste vessel 500. The urine diverter 200 may have attachments 210 that attach to a void within a solid waste vessel 500 by clips, tracks, snaps, hook and loop, magnetic, friction clips, slide on tracks, hooks, tape, adhesive, etc. The urine diverter 200 may include a bowl 220 to collect liquid waste. The bowl 220 may include an aperture 230 that directs the flow of liquid waste from the urine diverter 200. The aperture 230 may have a tube 240 that carries the liquid waste to a vessel, or elsewhere, other than the solid waste vessel 500 by gravity. The urine diverter 200 may have a ventilation aperture 250 for ventilation in which a hose 260 is attached and an exhaust fan draws odors from the composting toilet 550 to an outside environment. A ventilation attachment 270 may connect a hose 260 to the ventilation aperture 250 for confined spaces.

[0019] Where the urine diverter's attachments 210 attach to the solid waste vessel 500 of the composting or waterless toilet 550 may be clips or tracks which may be connected in various ways in different embodiments. The clips or tracks may be snaps, hook and loop, magnetic, friction clips, slide on tracks, hooks, tape, adhesive, screws, nails, etc.

[0020] Where the collection of liquid waste occurs, the bowl 220 may be any suitable shape. The bowl 220 may be round or a different geometry, such as oblong, trapezoidal, square, etc. The example illustrations show funnel concave geometry as the example.

[0021] The urine diverter 200 may be comprised of plastic or any suitable material.

[0022] In some embodiments a urine diverter 200 may be seated within a void 510 of a solid waste vessel 500.

[0023] In some embodiments a urine diverter 200 may have a ventilation aperture 250 for ventilation which may allow a hose 260 or ventilation attachment 270 that may be attached and may have an exhaust fan which draws odors from the composting or waterless toilet 550 to an outside environment.

    Remote Urine Diverter

[0024] FIGS. 25-32 shows yet another example embodiment of a remote urine diverter 300 that is remote and detached from a solid waste vessel 500 which may be used from a standing position. The urine diverter 300 may have attachments 310 that may attach to a wall or post by nails, screws, pins, clips, tracks, snaps, hook and loop, magnetic, friction clips, slide on tracks, hooks, tape, adhesive, etc. The urine diverter 300 may include a bowl 320 to collect liquid waste. The bowl 320 may include an aperture 330 that directs the flow of liquid waste from the urine diverter. The aperture 330 may have a tube 340 that carries the liquid waste to a vessel, or elsewhere, other than the solid waste vessel 500 by gravity.

[0025] Where the urine diverter's attachments 310 attach to a wall or post may be clips or tracks which may be connected in various ways in different embodiments. The clips or tracks may be snaps, hook and loop, magnetic, friction clips, slide on tracks, hooks, tape, adhesive, screws, nails, etc.

[0026] Where the collection of liquid waste occurs, the bowl 320 may be any suitable shape. The bowl 320 may be round or a different geometry, such as oblong, trapezoidal, square, etc. The example illustrations show funnel concave geometry as the example.

[0027] The urine diverter 300 may be comprised of plastic or any suitable material.

[0028] In some embodiments a urine diverter 300 may be outside and detached from a solid waste vessel 500 for remote use.

[0029] While the principles of the invention have been made clear in illustrative embodiments, it will be immediately obvious to those skilled in the art that many modifications of structure, arrangement, proportions, and methods, the elements, materials, and components used in the practice of the invention, and otherwise, which are particularly adapted to specific environments and operative requirements without departing from those principles. The appended claims are intended to cover and embrace any and all such modifications, within the limits only of the true spirit and scope of the invention.
