Abstract
A fish tape roller head for guiding fish tape through a conduit includes a head body having a top side, a bottom side, a back side, and a right arm and a left arm forming a U-shaped front side. Each of the right arm and the left arm have an axle aperture extending through from an outside edge to an inside edge. The back side has a threaded aperture extending towards the front side that is configured to receive a fish tape. An axle is coupled to the head body by being coupled through the axle aperture of each of the right and the left arm and extending therebetween. A spherical rollerball is coupled to the axle and has a through hole axially extending therethrough. The through hole receives the axle such that the rollerball is rotatable around the axle between the right arm and the left arm.
Claims
1. A fish tape roller head comprising: a head body having a top side, a bottom side, a back side, and a right arm and a left arm forming a U-shaped front side, each of the right arm and the left arm having an outside edge, an inside edge, and an axle aperture extending through from the outside edge to the inside edge, the back side having a threaded aperture extending towards the front side, the threaded aperture being configured to receive a fish tape; an axle coupled to the head body, the axle being coupled through the axle aperture of each of the right and the left arm and extending therebetween; and a rollerball coupled to the axle, the rollerball being spherical and having a through hole axially extending therethrough, the through hole receiving the axle such that the rollerball is rotatable around the axle between the right arm and the left arm.
2. The fish tape roller head of claim 1 further comprising a pair of spacers comprising a right spacer and a left spacer, the right spacer being coupled around the axle between the inside edge of the right arm and the rollerball and the left spacer being coupled around the axle between the inside edge of the left arm and the rollerball.
3. The fish tape roller head of claim 1 further comprising the outside edge of each of the right arm and the left arm comprising an angled facet and a perpendicular facet, the angled facet extending from the back side of the head body at an angle and the perpendicular facet extending from the angled facet perpendicular to the back side.
4. A fish tape roller head comprising: a head body having a top side, a bottom side, a back side, and a right arm and a left arm forming a U-shaped front side, each of the right arm and the left arm having an outside edge, an inside edge, and an axle aperture extending through from the outside edge to the inside edge, the outside edge of each of the right arm and the left arm comprising an angled facet and a perpendicular facet, the angled facet extending from the back side at an angle and the perpendicular facet extending from the angled facet perpendicular to the back side, the back side having a threaded aperture extending towards the front side, the threaded aperture being configured to receive a fish tape; an axle coupled to the head body, the axle being coupled through the axle aperture of each of the right and the left arm and extending therebetween; a rollerball coupled to the axle, the rollerball being spherical and having a through hole axially extending therethrough, the through hole receiving the axle such that the rollerball is rotatable around the axle between the right arm and the left arm; and a pair of spacers comprising a right spacer and a left spacer, the right spacer being coupled around the axle between the inside edge of the right arm and the rollerball and the left spacer being coupled around the axle between the inside edge of the left arm and the rollerball.
5. A fish tape and fish tape roller head combination comprising: a fish tape, the fish tape having a threaded end; a head body having a top side, a bottom side, a back side, and a right arm and a left arm forming a U-shaped front side, each of the right arm and the left arm having an outside edge, an inside edge, and an axle aperture extending through from the outside edge to the inside edge, the outside edge of each of the right arm and the left arm comprising an angled facet and a perpendicular facet, the angled facet extending from the back side at an angle and the perpendicular facet extending from the angled facet perpendicular to the back side, the back side having a threaded aperture extending towards the front side, the threaded aperture receiving the threaded end of the fish tape; an axle coupled to the head body, the axle being coupled through the axle aperture of each of the right and the left arm and extending therebetween; a rollerball coupled to the axle, the rollerball being spherical and having a through hole axially extending therethrough, the through hole receiving the axle such that the rollerball is rotatable around the axle between the right arm and the left arm; and a pair of spacers comprising a right spacer and a left spacer, the right spacer being coupled around the axle between the inside edge of the right arm and the rollerball and the left spacer being coupled around the axle between the inside edge of the left arm and the rollerball.
Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
[0010] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0017] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0018] As best illustrated in
[0019] In use, fish tape is screwed into the threaded aperture 36 of the head body 12. The fish tape roller head 10 is then placed into the conduit with the spherical rollerball 40 leading and gliding over other wires and around bends in the conduit 39.
[0020] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0021] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word comprising is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article a does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
