MONS PUBIS PUBIC REGION COMPRESSION PAD

Abstract

A compression pad designed for the Mons pubis area to facilitate a quicker recovery of a patient who has had a tummy tuck or liposuction procedure, which results in a swelling of the Mons pubic region of the body. This compression pad is designed to fit comfortably inside a post operative garment of varying designs to include fajas to compress the skin in this area resulting in a alleviation of swollen tissue, edema, fluid and an esthetic appearance. The compression pad has an elevation of reinforcement areas to relieve the swelling by a means of compression when placed in between a post operative compression garment at the Mons pubis region of the human body. The objective of the compression is to minimize the fluid and swelling in the Mons pubis area relieving the patient of the soreness, swelling, and enlargement of the Mons pubis.

Claims

1. The Mons pubis compression pad is a pad to have a shape which form fits the Mons pubis pubic area of the male or female body. The pad comprises of an area which has a rise in elevation to compress efficiently this selected location affected by any swelling from cosmetic surgery as tummy tuck or liposuction procedures.

2. The Mons pubis compression pad of claim 1, wherein the outside edges of the pad have a rounded portion.

3. The Mons pubis pad of claim 1, shows the outside edge is designed to fit to the shape of a patients Mons pubis area.

4. The Mons pubis pad of claim 1, wherein said base and reinforcement portion have different elevations.

5. The Mons pubis pad of claim 1, wherein the compression pads thickness on the top decreases as the elevation as it lowers to the outside rounded edges of the Mons pubis compression pad.

6. The Mons pubis pad of claim 1, wherein the top portion of the thickness of the pad are made to compress the fluid and swelling of the underlying tissues and skin.

7. The Mons pubis pad of claim 1, wherein the compression pad will come in 3 to 4 varying sizes in length and width and compression value depending on the patients needs.

8. The Mons pubis pad of claim 1, can be made of varying materials, silicone, lipo foam, polyurethane, plastic, or wood surrounded by a cushion material.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

[0021] With reference to FIGS. 1-3a Mons pubis compression pad (4) for the Mons pubis pubic area is depicted therein, which the Mons pubis compression pad (4) worn by a patient after a tummy tuck or liposuction surgery post operative in the in the frontal view of the Mons pubis pubic area. The Mons pubis compression pad is being worn in (FIG. 1), by a patient after a tummy tuck procedure inside of a post operative compression garment. The Mons pubis compression pad (4) has a base element (4A) made of plastic, polyurethane or lipo foam material, which may or may not be covered with a soft material cover. The Mons pubis compression pad has a elevation rise of material with reinforced areas, the base element (4A), which has a rise gradually starting from the base element to the highest point of the Mons pubis compression pad of 2.0 cm to 3 cm as shown in FIG. 6, the cross sectional view in the middle (4C) for reinforcement, to subsidize the swelling and elevates to the highest point, of 3 cms and dissipates the outside edge of less than 1 cm.
