Upon collecting the basketball backstop, the user mainly operates the leg tubes 31 in the leg assemblies 30, 300, or any standpipe 10, 100 in the pair of standpipes 10, 100. When the leg tube 31 of left leg assembly 300 is being put upright gradually, the leg assembly 300 will be driven to move closer to the left standpipe 100 at a same time. Similarly, when the leg tube 31 of right leg assembly 30 is being put upright gradually, the leg assembly 30 will be driven to move closer to the right standpipe 10 at a same time. And when the sliding blocks 40, 400 of both standpipes 10, 100 ascend, the leg tube 31 of left leg assembly 300 and the left end 213 on the top of connecting rod 21, as well as the leg tube 31 of right leg assembly 30 and the right end 223 on the top of connecting rod 22 will be driven to ascend, so that the leg assemblies 30, 300 and the connecting rods 21, 22 can be converged gradually.

[0046] Upon expanding the basketball backstop, the sliding blocks 40, 400 of standpipes 10, 100 descend, whereas the leg assemblies 30, 300 and the connecting rods 21, 22 are expanded gradually. When the sliding block 40 touches the positioning snap ring 42, the basketball backstop is expanded completely. Next, the positioning latch 41 is used to position the sliding block 40 on the standpipe 10, and in the meantime, the strut 32 of right leg assembly 30 is connected to the adjacent connecting rod 21 by the positioning rod 23 to stabilize the basketball backstop. After that, the booster rods 12, slope rack 60, drapery 71, side shields 72 and backboard 80 are assembled on the standpipes 10, 100 and the leg assemblies 30, 300. Accordingly, the connecting rods 21, 22 and the leg tubes 31 can slide up and down on the standpipes 10, 100 through the sliding blocks 40, 400, thereby expanding and collecting the connecting rods 21, 22 and the leg assemblies 30, 300 to quickly and easily expand and collect the basketball backstop, which will not take up a storage space and can facilitate transporting and carrying.

[0047] Referring to FIGS. 6 to 8, the backboard 80 can include a short backboard 801 and at least a long backboard 802, 803. The length of the long backboard 803 is larger than that of the long backboard 802, the short backboard 801 is provided with a single ring 81, and the long backboard 802 is provided with plural rings 81. For example, the long backboard 802 is provided with two rings 81, and the long backboard 803 is provided with three rings 81.

[0048] Upon expanding the standpipes 10, 100 and the connecting rods 21, 22, the standpipes 10, 100 can be expanded and collected with each other through the connecting rods 21, 22 to adjust the distance h between the standpipes 10, 100, providing for the backboard 80 in any width to be assembled between the top ends 103 of standpipes 10, 100. For example, if one ring 81 is to be provided (as shown in FIG. 6), then the standpipes 10, 100 can be expanded according to the width of short backboard 801, and the distance h between the standpipes 10, 100 can be adjusted freely through the connecting rods 21, 22, so that the short backboard 801 can be assembled exactly between the top ends 103 of standpipes 10, 100. On the other hand, if two rings 81 are to be provided (as shown in FIG. 7), then the standpipes 10, 100 can be expanded according to the width of long backboard 802, and the distance h1 between the standpipes 10, 100 can be adjusted freely through the connecting rods 21, 22, so that the long backboard 802 can be assembled exactly between the top ends 103 of standpipes 10, 100. Similarly, if three rings 81 are to be provided (as shown in FIG. 8), then the standpipes 10, 100 can be expanded according to the width of long backboard 802, and the distance h2 between the standpipes 10, 100 can be adjusted freely through the connecting rods 21, 22, so that the long backboard 803 can be assembled exactly between the top ends 103 of standpipes 10, 100. Accordingly, a single ring 81 or plural rings 81 can be easily and freely disposed between the top ends 103 of standpipes 10, 100, and the amount of rings 81 can be adjusted and changed freely on demand; there is no need to emplace plural basketball backstops or basketball shooting machines, and it does not take up the setting space, and can save the material cost of the basketball backstop or the basketball shooting machine. Referring to FIG. 9, the present invention further comprises a counterweight 90. The counterweight 90 is provided with a ground board, and two sides of the counterweight 90 are riveted respectively on the bottom end 311 of leg tube 31. The ring 81 is disposed on a backboard 804 to face toward or opposite to a surface of the counterweight 90, so that the backboard 804 can be hung up on a front face or rear face depending on the need, thereby improving the convenience in use.
