    Abstract

    The use of hemp paper for use to manufacture paper sleeves paper sleeves and other devices made from hemp for holding cups.

    Claims

    1. A paper sleeve comprised of hemp paper for holding hot liquids.

    2. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hot liquid comprises coffee, tea, hot chocolate or soup.

    3. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve is insulated.

    4. The paper sleeve of clam 1 wherein said hemp paper is one hundred percent hemp.

    5. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from one to twenty five percent hemp.

    6. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from twenty five to fifty percent hemp.

    7. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from fifty to seventy-five percent hemp.

    8. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from seventy-five to one hundred percent hemp.

    9. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein remaining percentage of paper that is not hemp paper comprises any combination of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp and virgin wood pulp.

    10. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a hurd content of less than 15%.

    11. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a hurd content of less than 10%.

    12. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a hurd content of less than 5%.

    13. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper not made from said hurd is made from bast fiber.

    14. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper comprises some combination of hemp hurd, hemp bast fiber, post-consumer recycled content wood pulp and post-industrial recycled content wood pulp.

    15. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a tensile MD strength ranging from five pounds to two hundred pounds per inch and a tensile CD strength ranging from five pounds to two hundred pounds per inch.

    16. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has an elongation MD percentage ranging from one half to twenty pounds per inch and an elongation CD percentage ranging from one half pound to twenty pounds per inch.

    17. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is treated or coated with AKD sizing.

    18. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve comprises fluting.

    19. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve has fluting on an external side or on both an internal and external side.

    20. The paper sleeve of claim 19 wherein said fluting is patterned in a horizontal, vertical or angular direction,

    21. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve is embossed on an external side or on both an internal and external side.

    22. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has a heat-activated adhesive that sticks to cup when paper sleeve is attached to said cup.

    23. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has a wide face and seamless construction, providing a surface area to accept graphics.

    24. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein same paper sleeve fits around an eight ounce, ten ounce, twelve ounce, sixteen ounce or twenty ounce cup.

    25. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper sleeve is unbleached.

    26. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper sleeve is bleached.

    27. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve measures between seven inches and sixteen inches in length,

    28. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein a fully assembled paper sleeve measures between three inches and seven inches in length and between one inch and four inches in width.

    29. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve is recyclable, curbside recyclable, biodegradable or compostable.

    30. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve has some combination of the following environmentally friendly features: chlorine free, toxin free, BPA free, lead free, phthalates free or PFA free.

    31. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has an outside surface having graphics and an inside surface having fluting.

    32. The paper sleeve of claim 31 wherein said sleeve has a closure mechanism.

    33. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has embossment on inside surface, outside surface or both inside surface and outside surface.

    34. The paper sleeve of claim 33 further comprising a closure mechanism.

    35. A single face board packaging for paper sleeves to hold cups and containers of hot liquids comprising: a linerboard layer and a corrugated or fluted layer; said single face board packaging comprising hemp paper.

    36. The single face board packaging of claim 35 wherein said fluting layer is either an E-flute or F-flute.

    37. A tray comprised of hemp paper for carrying drinks and food; said trays being molded fiber packaging or made from cardboard, both comprised of hemp paper.

    38. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is made from one hundred percent hemp.

    39. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from one to twenty five percent hemp.

    40. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from twenty five to fifty percent hemp.

    41. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from fifty to seventy-five percent hemp.

    42. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from seventy-five to one hundred percent hemp.

    43. The tray of claim 37 wherein remaining percentage of said tray that does not comprise said hemp paper comprises any combination of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp and virgin wood pulp.

    44. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray is a molded tray measuring between five inches and eighteen inches in length and six inches and fourteen inches in width.

    45. The tray of claim 37 wherein said try is a molded hemp paper tray having multiple rounded slots to hold cups or containers of different sizes.

    46. The tray of claim 45 wherein said rounded slots extend below top edge of said tray so cups can be seated in said slots.

    47. The tray of claim 45 further comprising a flat surface area to hold objects or food other than cups.

    48. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray further comprises handles.

    49. The tray of claim 37 further comprising compartments to hold cups.

    50. The tray of claim 37 wherein said cardboard tray accepts all types of printed graphics on the flat surface areas of said tray, including sides and bottom.

    51. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray is recyclable, curbside recyclable, biodegradable or compostable.

    52. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray has some combination of the following environmentally friendly features: chlorine free, toxin free, BPA free, lead free, Phthalates free, PFA free.

    53. The tray of claim 37 wherein said cardboard tray has an internal side having a die cut handle.

    54. The tray of claim 37 wherein said cardboard tray has two extended sides that have die cut handles.
