Abstract
The purpose of the art is to treat the air via an air treatment machine. The invention consists of a base; major connector; pcb; dc motor; motor/modified scotch yoke mount; and modified scotch yoke. The base supports a decorative housing which can be made by the end user. The “modified scotch yoke/motor mount” is fastened by screws and nuts to the major connector which is attached to the base also by nuts and screws. Electrical and mechanical moving parts are fixed to the major connector of the battery operated device.
Air is treated by the contents of an aerosol spray can. The aerosol can is inserted through the bottom of the air treatment machine and secured in place by the major bracket screw cap. Once the aerosol spray can's nozzle is depressed by the modified scotch yoke, a vertical spray mist is expelled through the opening at the top of the decorative housing, thus treating the air in the surrounding environment.
Claims
1-3. (canceled)
4. An air treatment machine that can be covered with a decorative housing which can be created by the end user comprising: a. a base upon which the end user's custom made or prefabricated decorative housing rests. The air treatment apparatus base also supports an on/off switch and various other optional electrical components mainly consisting of batteries; a mode selection switch, a PIR motion sensor an IR remote sensor, and circuit boards that control the working parts; b. a major bracket with its screw cap which holds an aerosol spray can and upon which a motor mount and rotary motor is attached; c. a motor mount upon which a motor and modified scotch yoke are attached; d. a motor mount cover which covers the motor. The motor mount cover is attached to the major bracket and motor mount. The cover also houses a circuit board; e. a modified scotch yoke connected to the motor via the motor mount, stated in part (c), configured with two springs placed over two guide pins, which act together in order to deliver downward force to activate an aerosol spray can nozzle.
5. The air treatment machine stated in claim 1 that supports a spitting cetacean version of the housing; consisting of a hollow cetacean sculpture with a flexible extension spray tube connected to and extending from the modified scotch yoke and internally connected with a spray nozzle to the mouth of a cetacean sculpture. Thus, when the aerosol can's nozzle is activated a spray mist will exit from the mouth of the cetacean sculpture emulating the animal spitting water.
6. The air treatment machine stated in claim 1 that supports a spitting elephant version of the housing; consisting of a hollow elephant sculpture with a flexible extension spray tube connected to and extending from the modified scotch yoke and internally connected with a spray nozzle through the trunk of an elephant sculpture. Thus, when the aerosol can's nozzle is activated a spray mist will exit from the elephant sculptures' trunk emulating the animal spitting water.
