    Abstract

    A method to pad a clothes hanger that includes the steps of: inserting a first foam pad on a base of the clothes hanger; inserting a second foam pad on a first sloping horizontal extension; and inserting a third foam pad on a second sloping horizontal extension.

    1. A method to pad a clothes hanger comprising the steps of: a. inserting a first foam pad on a base of the clothes hanger; b. inserting a second foam pad on a first sloping horizontal extension; and c. inserting a third foam pad on a second sloping horizontal extension.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION

    [0005] The present invention relates to foam padding that is inserted over the sloping horizontal extensions and base of a conventional hanger. The foam padding according to present invention is applied as a spiral cylinder across the length of each sloping horizontal extension and the base of a hanger. Once placed over the hanger, the padding provides a suitable surface for garment contact while hanging clothing.

    [0006] FIG. 1 depicts an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The hanger 10 is shown with sloping horizontal extensions that adjoin to a base 11. FIG. 1 shows application of a spiral foam pad 20 that is placed across a first horizontal extension 12 and a second horizontal extension 13. The base 11 that extends horizontally between the two extensions 12, 13 also receives the spiral foam pad 20. Once this is inserted over the hanger 10, a padded surface is provided for any garment. The spiral foam pad 20 include provides a cushioned surface for application against a user's clothing. The spiral foam pad 20 prevents damage to a user's clothing that would otherwise occur when using a clothes hanger.
