Abstract
This invention relates to a sprinkler head conversion sleeve/base member made of durable plastic, it is comprised of a cylindrical sleeve having an opening at the upper end with an external thread for attachment to a gear driven sprinkler head. The lower end of said sleeve having an external thread for attachment to the internal threads of an in-ground sprinkler housing. The open bottom of the sleeve receives water from the lower chamber of the existing sprinkler housing with no direct connect to a pressurized water system, water enters from either the bottom or the side orifice with no additional plumbing. The sleeve also supports internal protrusions which facilitate the mechanical operation of a gear driven sprinkler head used in conjunction with my sleeve The gear driven head referenced numerous times in this application is not part of this application. The embodiment of this invention is a single sleeve with characteristics outlined above and in the claims and description.
Claims
1-2. (canceled)
3. A Lawn sprinkler conversion sleeve, comprising of: a sleeve as in claim 3 for supplanting impact sprinkler heads to gear-driven heads exclusively. a body of said sleeve having external threads at the top and the bottom of said sleeve on the outside surface, the body separating the upper threads from the lower threads. a body of said sleeve having protrusions on the inside wall of sleeve running the length of the sleeve. a body of said sleeve having an opening at the top end to support attachment of a gear-driven sprinkler assembly. a body of said sleeve with an opening at the lower end of sleeve to receive pressurized water from the lower chamber of the impact sprinkler housing through the side or bottom inlet. a body of said sleeve that has no direct connection to a pressurized water source for implementation. a body of said sleeve having an internal thread at the bottom inside surface of the sleeve designed to replace a damaged impact sprinkler housing allowing for the attachment of a gear-driven head. a body of said sleeve which when threaded into impact sprinkler housings can attach a gear-driven assembly without the need for additional plumbing. a body of a said sleeve made of a durable plastic material.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
[0030] The following detailed description represents the best currently contemplated mode for carrying out the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general purposes and principles of the invention. This is a single sleeve that when inserted into an existing inground sprinkler housing and supported buy new gear driven sprinkler heads, changes the entire complexity of the lawn sprinkling system. The purpose of this invention is such that it allows a person to remove old generation impact or impulse type sprinkler head from its housing
