A two-piece coat or jacket that has a removable liner is provided with a hook and loop fastener strip along it's lower hem. The lining, being removable, can be inverted and secured back to the outer shell via the hook and loop fastener, thereby forming a suitable, insulative sleeping bag for use by individuals unexpectedly caught out of doors overnight.
Claims
1. A combination two-part coat and sleeping bag comprising; An outer shell; A removable liner that becomes the lower half of the sleeping bag; A hook and loop or zippered fastener that attaches the liner to the outer shell in the sleeping bag configuration; A draw string at the neck portion of the coat liner that seals the neck area of the liner for sleeping.

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART
[0004] There are examples of coats that convert into sleeping bags on the market today. They utilize extra material that is folded and stowed on the back of the garment, making it bulkier and less convenient for wearing a backpack.
[0005] There are no U.S. patents found with jackets or coats utilizing a two-piece design that allows the lining to be inverted and used for the lower half of the sleeping bag when reconfigured for that purpose.
[0006] A combination jacket or coat with a removable liner that can be converted into a sleeping bag is superior to all other designs in that it can be configured in many ways, including;
[0007] 1) It can be worn with the liner in the water-proofed outer shell.
[0008] 2) The liner can be worn by itself
[0009] 3) The outer water-proofed jacket can be worn by itself.
[0010] 4) Finally, it can be converted into a sleeping bag.
