Abstract
A wine bottle has an outer bottle having an inner diameter, and an inner bottle disposed within the outer bottle, with a gap chamber formed between the inner and outer bottles. A decorative liquid at least partially filling the gap chamber, the decorative liquid having a carrier fluid and a glitter material.
Claims
1. A bottle comprising: an outer bottle having a base, an upwardly extending wall that extends to a shoulder, which then narrows to a neck that extends to a mouth, the outer bottle between the base and the shoulder having an inner diameter; wherein the outer bottle is transparent or translucent; an inner bottle disposed within the outer bottle, at least a portion of the inner bottle having an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the outer bottle, thereby forming a gap chamber between the inner and outer bottles; and a decorative liquid at least partially filling the gap chamber, the decorative liquid having a carrier fluid and a glitter material.
2. The bottle of claim 1, wherein the inner bottle is transparent or translucent.
3. The bottle of claim 1, wherein the carrier fluid includes mineral oil and vegetable oil.
4. The bottle of claim 1, wherein the carrier fluid includes about 60% mineral oil and about 40% vegetable oil, by volume.
5. The bottle of claim 1, wherein the glitter material is gold powder.
6. The bottle of claim 1, further comprising an inner chamber of the inner bottle filled with a liquid.
7. The bottle of claim 1, wherein the outer bottle and the gap chamber are both coaxially disposed about an axis of the inner bottle.
8. The bottle of claim 1, wherein the inner bottle and the outer bottle each have a wall thickness of about 2-3 mm.
9. The bottle of claim 1, wherein the outer diameter of the inner bottle is about 72 mm, and the inner diameter of the outer bottle is about 83.4 mm, so that the gap chamber is about 12.3 mm.
10. A bottle comprising: an outer bottle at least a portion of which has an inner diameter, wherein the outer bottle is transparent or translucent; an inner bottle disposed within the outer bottle, at least a portion of the inner bottle having an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the outer bottle, thereby forming a gap chamber between the inner and outer bottles; and a decorative liquid at least partially filling the gap chamber, the decorative liquid having a carrier fluid and a glitter material, and an inner chamber of the inner bottle filled with a consumable liquid.
11. The bottle of claim 10, wherein the decorative liquid includes about 60% mineral oil and about 40% vegetable oil, by volume, and gold powder.
12. The bottle of claim 10, wherein the outer bottle and the gap chamber are both coaxially disposed about an axis of the inner bottle.
13. The bottle of claim 10, wherein the inner bottle and the outer bottle each have a wall thickness of about 2-3 mm.
14. The bottle of claim 10, wherein the outer diameter of the inner bottle is about 72 mm, and the inner diameter of the outer bottle is about 83.4 mm, so that the gap chamber is about 12.3 mm.
15. A bottle comprising: an outer bottle that is transparent or translucent; an inner bottle disposed within the outer bottle, thereby forming a gap chamber between the inner and outer bottles, the inner bottle forming an inner chamber; and a decorative liquid at least partially filling the gap chamber, the decorative liquid having a carrier fluid and a glitter material.
Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0011] The accompanying drawings illustrate the present invention.
[0012]
[0013]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0014] The above-described drawing figures illustrate the invention, a bottle for holding a liquid such as wine that is constructed to provide a decorative liquid in a gap chamber around the bottle.
[0015]
[0016] The base 22 may include a punt 24 that functions to strengthen the bottle 10. The wine bottle 10 may include a closure 32 for covering the mouth 30, and a finish 34 for covering a top portion 36 of the wine bottle 10, above the shoulder, both for properly sealing the wine bottle 10, and also for providing a tamper evident feature that shows whether the wine bottle 10 has previously been opened. While this embodiment illustrates one version of the bottle 10, in alternative embodiments, other shapes and sizes may also be used, and should be considered within the scope of the present invention.
[0017] As shown in
[0018]
[0019] As shown in
[0020] In this embodiment, the outer bottle 20 and the gap chamber 42 are both coaxially disposed about an axis A of the inner bottle 40. The inner bottle 40 and the outer bottle 20, in this embodiment, each have a wall thickness of about 2-3 mm, although this thickness may obviously be varied according to the design of the particular wine bottle 10, and any sizes, shapes, and thicknesses should be considered within the scope of the present invention. In this embodiment, the outer diameter D1 of the inner bottle is about 72 mm, and the inner diameter D2 of the outer bottle is about 83.4 mm, so that the gap chamber 42 is about 12.3 mm in width.
[0021] In this embodiment, the decorative liquid 50 includes a carrier fluid that includes, in this embodiment, mineral oil and vegetable oil. In the current embodiment, the carrier fluid is about 60% mineral oil and about 40% vegetable oil, by volume. In alternative embodiments, however, other percentages of oils may be used, and/or other fluids may be used, and should be considered within the scope of the present invention. In this embodiment, the glitter material 52 is gold powder, which may be colored to any desired color. It has been found that 60% mineral oil, 40% vegetable oil, and gold powder provides superior performance for this particular product.
[0022] As shown in
[0023] The title of the present application, and the claims presented, do not limit what may be claimed in the future, based upon and supported by the present application. Furthermore, any features shown in any of the drawings may be combined with any features from any other drawings to form an invention which may be claimed.
[0024] As used in this application, the words a, an, and one are defined to include one or more of the referenced item unless specifically stated otherwise. The terms approximately and about are defined to mean +/10%, unless otherwise stated. Also, the terms have, include, contain, and similar terms are defined to mean comprising unless specifically stated otherwise. Furthermore, the terminology used in the specification provided above is hereby defined to include similar and/or equivalent terms, and/or alternative embodiments that would be considered obvious to one skilled in the art given the teachings of the present patent application. While the invention has been described with reference to at least one particular embodiment, it is to be clearly understood that the invention is not limited to these embodiments, but rather the scope of the invention is defined by claims made to the invention.
