    Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

[0011] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0012] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a pet hair sweeping device according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0013] FIG. 2 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0014] FIG. 3 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0015] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 3 thereof, a new pet hair removal tool embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0016] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 3, the pet hair sweeping device 10 generally comprises a handle 12 having a first end 14 and a second end 16. The handle 12 is elongate between the first end 14 and the second end 16. The handle 12 is widest at a middle portion 18 of the handle 12 and tapers from the middle portion 18 toward each of the first end 14 and the second end 16. The handle 12 has an edge 20 extending along the first end 14 perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis of the handle 12 and the second end 16 is circular.

[0017] A brush head 22 is coupled to and extends from the second end 16 of the handle 12. The brush head 22 has a proximal end 24 relative to the handle 12 and a distal end 26 relative to the handle 12. The brush head 22 is elongate between the proximal end 24 and the distal end 26. The brush head 22 has an elliptical cross-section, wherein a major axis of the elliptical cross-section is aligned with the edge 20 of the handle 12. The brush head 22 is constructed of a resiliently deformable and absorbent material, which may be foam rubber or the like, and is configured for conforming to a shape of a furniture surface 28 while being pressed onto the furniture surface 28.

[0018] A brush cover 30 encases the brush head 22. The brush cover 30 has a smooth surface 32 facing away from the brush head 22 which is smooth enough not to abrasively damage the furniture surface 28 when frictionally engaging the furniture surface 28. The brush cover 30 is constructed of a resiliently flexible and absorbent material, which may be chamois leather, nonwoven viscose, or the like, and is configured for conforming to a shape of a furniture surface 28 while being pressed onto the furniture surface 28. The brush cover 30 is also configured for sweeping a hair 34 on the furniture surface 28 into a pile by being dragged along the furniture surface 28.

[0019] In use, the brush head 22 and the brush cover 30 are wetted. Then a user holds the handle 12 and drags the brush cover 30 along the furniture surface 28 while pressing it into the furniture surface 28 such that the brush cover 30 conforms to the shape of the furniture surface 28. In so doing, the device 10 sweeps a hair 34 into a pile for easy pickup and disposal.

[0020] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0021] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word comprising is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article a does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
