    Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for forming smoking items. For each smoking article, the apparatus includes a rolling tray designed to hold a smoking paper. The rolling tray features a lip that projects out and curves downward to create a mould for holding the smoking paper. Dry herb then slides off the rolling tray's mould to create smoking articles. The apparatus further includes a sleeve component coupled to the rolling tray, the sleeve component having at least three side walls connected to a base. There is a cutout in the side walls that are opposite one another for the rolling tray's lip. The sleeve component is replaceable or can be removed and replaced with another sleeve component.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0033] The following description includes the preferred best mode of one embodiment of the present invention. It will be clear from this description of the invention that the invention is not limited to these illustrated embodiments, but the invention also includes a variety of modifications and embodiments thereto. Therefore, the present description should be seen as illustrative and not limiting. While the invention is susceptible to various modifications and alternative constructions, it should be understood, that there is no intention to limit the invention to the specific form disclosed, but, on the contrary, the invention is to cover all modifications, alternative constructions, and equivalents falling within the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the claims.

[0034] In any embodiment described herein, the open-ended terms comprising, comprises, and the like (which are synonymous with including, having and characterized by) may be replaced by the respective partially closed phrases consisting essentially of, consists essentially of, and the like or the respective closed phrases consisting of, consists of, the like.

[0035] As used herein, the singular forms a, an, and the designate both the singular and the plural, unless expressly stated to designate the singular only.

[0036] FIG. 1A illustrates a left side view of the apparatus, according to embodiments of the present invention. The apparatus comprises a rolling tray 102 and a sleeve component 104. The rolling tray 102 may be adapted to receive a smoking paper for each smoking article. According to embodiments of the present invention, the smoking articles comprises cigarettes, cigars, and so forth.

[0037] Cigarettes and other smoking products typically have a smooth paper wrapper around their exterior. A common cigarette structure consists of a tipping paper-attached rod of tobacco or other smokeable substance wrapped in a smooth paper wrapper. The filter could include a plug cover as well as filter material like cellulose acetate.

[0038] The hand-rolled smoking herbs enable a user to personalize their smoking products, such as cigarettes, cigars, and the like, to their particular tastes. Due to the ability to customize the smoking article to the smoker's preferences, users continue to enjoy rolling their own smoking articles despite the availability of numerous mass-produced smoking products. For every rolling of a smoking article, changes can be made to the smoking article's size, length, thickness, and density.

[0039] Additionally, the blend of tobacco, herbs, or other combustible material used in the cigarette can be changed by the smoker to alter the flavor or effect of the smoke. In some versions of the invention, the term herbs might refer to any flammable material that is utilized to smoke

[0040] Referring to FIG. 1A and FIG. 1L, the rolling tray 102 has a lip extending out and curving downward to generate a mould for holding the smoking paper, where dry herb slides off of the mould of the rolling tray 102 to form smoking articles.

[0041] In embodiments of the present inventions, the sleeve component 104 may be engaged with the rolling tray 102.

[0042] Further, the sleeve component comprises at least three side walls 104a, 104b, 104c associated with a base 106 of the sleeve component 104.

[0043] The side walls 104a, 104c opposite to each other includes a cut out 108a, 108b for engaging the lip of the rolling tray 102, also seen in FIG. 1K.

[0044] FIG. 1B-1I illustrates a various view of a sleeve component 104 of the apparatus 100, according to embodiments of the present invention. The rolling tray 102 may be covered from the outside by the sleeve component 104. The side walls 104a, 104c that are next to one another include a cut out 108a, 108b for securing the rolling tray 102's lip.

[0045] Further, the corresponding side walls 104a-104c of the rolling tray 102 all have rounded edges.

[0046] In one embodiment of the present invention, the sleeve component 104 may be a removable component. In embodiments of the present invention, the sleeve component 104 comprises a silicon sleeve component.

[0047] Further, the silicone sleeve component 104 may be removable or replaceable with a different sleeve component. The sleeve component may be a flexible component.

[0048] FIG. 1J illustrates a top side view of a rolling tray of the apparatus, according to embodiments of the present invention. For each smoking article, a smoking paper may be added to the rolling tray 102. The smoking articles include cigarettes, cigars, and other items, according to implementations of the present invention. Further, the lip of the rolling tray 102 curving downward has a tilted angle.

[0049] FIG. 1M illustrates a perspective view of the apparatus for forming smoking articles, according to embodiments of the present invention. When the sleeve component 104 as seen in FIG. 1K is placed over the rolling tray 102 as seen in FIG. 1L, the result is an apparatus for swiftly rolling or producing smoking articles, also seen in FIG. 1O.

[0050] FIG. 1N illustrates a demonstration of how the sleeve component is removed from the rolling tray of the sleeve component of the apparatus, according to embodiments of the present invention. The sleeve component 104 might be detachable. The sleeve component 104 in some embodiments of the invention includes a silicon sleeve component.

[0051] Furthermore, the silicone sleeve component 104 may be changeable or detachable from the body of the device. The sleeve component 104 may be a flexible component.

[0052] FIG. 1P illustrates a sectional view of structure of the apparatus, according to embodiments of the present invention. The interior construction of the rolling tray 102 creates a mould or space between the top and bottom that is the lip extending out and curved downward to allow the user to hold a cigar wrap or cigarette paper beneath the edge of the top of the tray and slide the dry herb or tobacco onto the wrap or paper.

[0053] FIG. 2 illustrates a flowchart of a method for creating an apparatus for forming smoking articles, according to embodiments of the present invention disclosed herein.

[0054] At 202, forming smoking articles using a rolling tray, the rolling tray has a lip extending out and curving downward to generate a mould for holding a paper, where dry herb slides off of the mould of the rolling tray to form smoking articles.

[0055] At 204, engaging a sleeve component with the rolling tray, the sleeve component having at least three side walls associated with a base of the sleeve component.

[0056] At 206, sliding the rolling tray's lip into the cut-out on the opposite side walls to form the smoking articles.

[0057] While the invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be the most practical and various embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not to be limited to the disclosed embodiments, but on the contrary, is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the scope of the appended claims.

[0058] This written description uses examples to disclose the invention, including the best mode, and also to enable any person skilled in the art to practice the invention, including making and using any devices or systems and performing any incorporated methods. The patentable scope the invention is defined in the claims, and may include other examples that occur to those skilled in the art. Such other examples are intended to be within the scope of the claims if they have structural elements that do not differ from the literal language of the claims, or if they include equivalent structural elements within substantial differences from the literal languages of the claims.
