DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
[0026] Principles of the present invention are now explained with reference to various example embodiments shown in the drawings. It should be appreciated that description of those embodiments is merely to enable those skilled in the art to better understand and further implement the present invention and is not intended for limiting the scope disclosed herein in any manner. It should be noted similar or same reference signs can be used in the drawings where feasible, and similar or same reference signs can represent similar or same functions. Those skilled in the art will easily understand from the following description that alternative embodiments of the structure and/or method described in the text can be adopted without deviating from the principles of the present invention described herein.
[0027] In description of embodiments of the present invention, the term includes and its variants are to be read as open-ended terms that mean includes, but is not limited to. The term based on is to be read as based at least in part on. The term one example or this example is to be read as at least one embodiment. The terms first, second and the like may indicate different or same objects. The following text may include other explicit and implicit definitions.
[0028] As described above, in the current design of the personal care devices, a great frictional resistance is present between the devices and the skin, forming wrinkles or projections on the skin. Such wrinkles or projections may scratch the skin of the user and forms a fissure during the skin care procedure, which degrades the user experience.
[0029] Some schematic implementations of the cap in accordance with the present invention are to be described hereinafter with reference to
[0030]
[0031] As shown in
[0032] In accordance with the embodiments of the present invention, the plurality of ribs 140 are spaced apart from each other, and owing to the gaps therebetween, a projection area of the ribs 140 onto the main surface 120 is smaller than the area of the main surface 120. Since the ribs 140 in use will directly contact with the skin of the object, the above setting may reduce the contact area between the cap 10 and the skin of the object, so as to decrease the mutual slip between the skin and the hair cutter, and the frictional resistance therebetween may be decreased to a large extent accordingly. In this way, the cap 10 can move smoothly relative to the skin of the object.
[0033] In some embodiments, a first length A of the main surface 120 in the third direction L3 may be greater than a second length B of the main surface 120 in the second direction L2 as shown in
[0034] In accordance with the embodiments of the present invention, when the skin is moist, the cap 10 is shaped and dimensioned to reduce the slip effect of the cap 10 on the moist skin because a water film may be formed between the surface of the cap 10 and the skin when the contact area between the moist skin and the cap 10 is reduced. Compared to the traditional cap, the design of the cap 10 in accordance with embodiments of the present invention may reduce the frictional resistance between the two surfaces to a large extent.
[0035] In some embodiments, as shown in the enlarged view of
[0036] In the embodiments shown in
[0037] In some embodiments, the body 12 also may include a first side portion 121 and a second side portion 122 separated from each other.
[0038] In some embodiments, the body 12 also may include an intermediate portion 123, which is provided between the first side portion 121 and the second side portion 122 and connecting both the portions, as shown in
[0039]
[0040] Continuing to refer to
[0041] It should be appreciated that the above described range of the proportion a is only exemplary. Further, the range of the proportion a may change depending on the usage environments in different personal care devices. The present invention is not restricted in this regard.
[0042] As shown in
[0043] In some embodiments, a plurality of ribs 140 may be provided in parallel on the main surface 120 with the same interval. The above arrangement may be easily manufactured, meaning that the cap 10 may be obtained at a lower cost. In some further embodiments, a plurality of ribs 140 may also be provided in parallel on the main surface 120 with different intervals. In this way, the ribs 140 are arranged in a more flexible way to broaden its range of application.
[0044] In some embodiments, the cap 10 also may include a coating provided on the main surface 120, to further enhance the smoothness between the cap 10 and the skin of the object. The user experience is also improved as a result.
[0045] In some embodiments, the cap 10 may be made of thermoplastic materials, which may be ABS. It is to be understood that the material listed here is only exemplary, rather than restrictive. In view of the different requirements, the cap 10 also may be made of other materials, including but not limited to, polypropylene (PP), polyamide (PA), polyformaldehyde (POM), polycarbonate ester (PC), PETG, polylactic acid (PLA), synthetic rubber (TPE) and polyethylene (PE), etc. The specific materials are not restricted by the embodiments of the present invention.
[0046] Embodiments of the present invention also relate to a hair cutter including the cap 10 described above. It should be understood that the cap 10 in accordance with the embodiments of the present invention may be applied into various personal care devices, e.g., shavers, epilators, facial cleansing instruments and the like.
[0047] In accordance with the solution of the present invention, a cap 10 is provided for the hair cutter at a low cost. As such, the contact area between the hair cutter and the skin is reduced in comparison to the traditional hair cutter, and the mutual slide between the moist skin and the hair cutter also decreases accordingly. By reducing the friction between the cap 10 and the skin of the object, more comfortable hair cutting operations are provided without compromising the hair cutting performance.
[0048] Although the claims of the present application are formulated against specific feature combinations, it should be understood that the scope of the present invention also includes any novel features explicitly or implicitly disclosed or summarized by the present invention, or any novel combinations regardless of whether they relate to the same solutions in any of the current claims.
