    Abstract

    A weighted shoe assembly includes an article of footwear that has an upper and a sole such that the article of footwear can be worn on a user. The article of footwear has a plurality of channels each being integrated into the article of footwear. A plurality of weighted objects is each movably disposed within a respective one of the channels. Each of the weighted objects is urged forwardly in the respective channel to impart inertia into the article of footwear for enhancing kicking an object with a toe of the article of footwear. Conversely, each of the weighted objects is urged rearwardly in the respective channel to impart inertia into the article of footwear for enhancing kicking an object with a heel of the article of footwear.

    Claims

    1. A weighted shoe assembly having dead weight being movably integrated therein for enhancing kicking an object, said assembly comprising: an article of footwear having an upper and a sole wherein said article of footwear is configured to be worn on a user, said article of footwear having a plurality of channels each being integrated into said article of footwear, each of said channels being fluidly discrete from each other; and a plurality of weighted objects, each of said weighted objects being movably disposed within a respective one of said channels, each of said weighted objects being urged forwardly in said respective channel when said article of footwear is abruptly stopped when said article of footwear is moving in a forward direction wherein said plurality of weighted objects is configured to impart inertia into said article of footwear for enhancing kicking an object with a toe of said article of footwear, each of said weighted objects being urged rearwardly in said respective channel when said article of footwear is abruptly stopped when said article of footwear is moving in a rearward direction wherein said plurality of weighted objects is configured to impart inertia into said article of footwear for enhancing kicking an object with a heel of said article of footwear.

    2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said sole has a top surface, a bottom surface, a toe and a heel, said upper extending upwardly from said top surface, each of said channels being positioned between said top surface and said bottom surface of said heel.

    3. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein each of said channels is elongated to extend substantially between said toe and said heel.

    4. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said channels are spaced apart from each other and are laterally distributed in said sole.

    5. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein each of said channels has a front end and a back end, said front end of each of said channels being rounded, said back end of each of said channels being rounded.

    6. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein each of said weighted objects comprises a sphere being comprised of steel or other material of a similar density thereby facilitating each of said weighted objects to freely roll within said respective channel.

    7. A weighted shoe assembly having dead weight being movably integrated therein for enhancing kicking an object, said assembly comprising: an article of footwear having an upper and a sole wherein said article of footwear is configured to be worn on a user, said article of footwear having a plurality of channels each being integrated into said article of footwear, each of said channels being fluidly discrete from each other, said sole having a top surface, a bottom surface, a toe and a heel, said upper extending upwardly from said top surface, each of said channels being positioned between said top surface and said bottom surface of said heel, each of said channels being elongated to extend substantially between said toe and said heel, said channels being spaced apart from each other and being laterally distributed in said sole, each of said channels having a front end and a back end, said front end of each of said channels being rounded, said back end of each of said channels being rounded; and a plurality of weighted objects, each of said weighted objects being movably disposed within a respective one of said channels, each of said weighted objects being urged forwardly in said respective channel when said article of footwear is abruptly stopped when said article of footwear is moving in a forward direction wherein said plurality of weighted objects is configured to impart inertia into said article of footwear for enhancing kicking an object with a toe of said article of footwear, each of said weighted objects being urged rearwardly in said respective channel when said article of footwear is abruptly stopped when said article of footwear is moving in a rearward direction wherein said plurality of weighted objects is configured to impart inertia into said article of footwear for enhancing kicking an object with a heel of said article of footwear, each of said weighted objects comprising a sphere being comprised of steel or other material of a similar density thereby facilitating each of said weighted objects to freely roll within said respective channel.

    (J) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

    [0017] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new shoe device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

    [0018] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the weighted shoe assembly 10 generally comprises an article of footwear 12 that has an upper 14 and a sole 16 such that the article of footwear 12 can be worn on a user. The article of footwear 12 may comprise a work boot, for example, or other type of footwear that would commonly be worn in a construction zone, an industrial environment or other location that might require the user to routinely kick an object. The article of footwear 12 has a plurality of channels 18 each being integrated into the article of footwear 12. Additionally, each of the channels 18 is fluidly discrete from each other.

    [0019] The sole 16 has a top surface 20, a bottom surface 22, a toe 24 and a heel 26, and the upper 14 extends upwardly from the top surface 20. Each of the channels 18 is positioned between the top surface 20 and the bottom surface 22 of the heel 26, and each of the channels 18 is elongated to extend substantially between the toe 24 and the heel 26. Furthermore, the channels 18 are spaced apart from each other and are laterally distributed in the sole 16. Each of the channels 18 has a front end 28 and a back end 30. The front end 28 of each of the channels 18 is rounded and the back end 30 of each of the channels 18 is rounded.

    [0020] A plurality of weighted objects 32 is provided and each of the weighted objects 32 is movably disposed within a respective one of the channels 18. Each of the weighted objects 32 is urged forwardly in the respective channel 18 when the article of footwear 12 is abruptly stopped when the article of footwear 12 is moving in a forward direction. In this way the plurality of weighted objects 32 impart inertia into the article of footwear 12 for enhancing kicking an object 34 with a toe of the article of footwear 12. Thus, the user can kick the object 34 with a greater force than they can generate by kicking with their toe.

    [0021] Each of the weighted objects 32 is urged rearwardly in the respective channel 18 when the article of footwear 12 is abruptly stopped when the article of footwear 12 is moving in a rearward direction. In this way the plurality of weighted objects 32 can impart inertia into the article of footwear 12 for enhancing kicking an object 34 with a heel of the article of footwear 12. Each of the weighted objects 32 comprises a sphere which is comprised of steel or other material of a similar density. In this way each of the weighted objects 32 can freely roll within the respective channel 18. Furthermore, each of the weighted objects 32 may have a mass of approximately 0.5 grams and the total number of weighted objects 32 in the channels 18 may be sufficiently high to generate a force of approximately 50.0 pounds when the article of footwear 12 is kicked against the object 34.

    [0022] In use, the article of footwear 12 is worn in the conventional manner of footwear 12. Each of the weighted objects 32 is urged forwardly in the respective channel 18 and strikes the front end 28 of the respective channel 18 when the toe 24 of the sole 16 is kicked against an object 34. In this way the inertia of the weighted objects 32 increases the force with which the user can kick in a forward direction. Conversely, each of the weighted objects 32 is urged rearwardly in the respective channel 18 and strikes the back end 30 of the respective channel 18 when the heel 26 of the sole 16 is kicked against an object 34. In this way the inertia of the weighted objects 32 increases the force with which the user can kick in a rearward direction.
