Dry Shampoo Hairbrush

Abstract

An article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush is disclosed. The hairbrush has a brush body having bristles extending from a first side, a bristles cover configured to be coupled to the brush body, the bristles cover having a plurality of access holes permitting the bristles to pass through, a storage cavity within a second side, the storage cavity being configured to hold moist towelettes for insertion between the brush body and the bristles cover permitting a moist towelette to extend through the holes in the brush body cover around the bristles, a rear cover enclosing the storage cavity, and a rear cover enclosing the storage cavity. The rear cover may provide an airtight seal to the storage cavity for keeping moist towelettes moist until use.

Claims

1. An article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush, the hairbrush comprises: a brush body having bristles extending from a first side; a bristles cover configured to be coupled to the brush body, the bristles cover having a plurality of access holes permitting the bristles to pass through; and a storage cavity within a second side, the storage cavity being configured to hold moist towelettes for insertion between the brush body and the bristles cover permitting a moist towelette to extend through the holes in the brush body cover around the bristles.

2. The hairbrush according to claim 1, wherein the bristles cover further comprising connecting tabs that engage connecting slots in the brush body to hold the bristle cover in place.

3. The hairbrush according to claim 2, wherein the hairbrush further comprises a rear cover enclosing the storage cavity.

4. The hairbrush according to claim 1, wherein the hairbrush further comprises a handle extending from a bottom edge of the brush body for holding the hairbrush when used.

5. The hairbrush according to claim 4, wherein the hairbrush further comprises a soft grip sleeve configured to cover the handle.

6. The hairbrush according to claim 5, wherein the rear cover provides an airtight seal to the storage cavity for keeping moist towelettes moist until use.

7. An article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush, the hairbrush comprises: a brush body having bristles extending from a first side; a bristles cover configured to be coupled to the brush body, the bristles cover having a plurality of access holes permitting the bristles to pass through and connecting tabs that engage connecting slots in the brush body to hold the bristle cover in place; a storage cavity within a second side, the storage cavity being configured to hold moist towelettes for insertion between the brush body and the bristles cover permitting a moist towelette to extend through the holes in the brush body cover around the bristles; a handle extending from a bottom edge of the brush body for holding the hairbrush when used; and a soft grip sleeve configured to cover the handle.

8. The hairbrush according to claim 7, wherein the hairbrush further comprises a rear cover enclosing the storage cavity; and a rear cover enclosing the storage cavity.

[0035] The dry shampoo hairbrush 100 comprises a brush head 101, a bristles cover 102, a rear cover 103, a handle sleeve 104, a storage cavity 105, and a handle 110. The brush head 101 possesses brush bristles 111a-n on a front side and a storage cavity 105 on a rear side. A bristles cover 102 attaches to the brush head 101 over the brush bristles 111a-n. The brush bristles access holes 112a-n provide the brush bristles 111a-n with an ability to pass through the bristles cover 102. The location of the brush bristles access holes 112a-n on the bristles cover 102 correspond to individual brush bristles 111a-n on the brush head 101. The handle sleeve 104 slides onto the handle 110 to provide a user with a comfortable grip.

To use the dry shampoo hairbrush 100, the user removes a wipe from the storage cavity 105 and replaces the rear cover 103. The single wipe is placed over the brush bristles 111a-n after the bristles cover 102 has been removed. Once the wipe is in place, the bristles cover 102 is reattached to the brush head 101.

The dry shampoo hairbrush 100 may be used as any other hairbrush to pass the brush bristles 111a-n covered by the moist wipe through a client's hair. Repeated action of the brush bristles 111a-n that are covered by the moist wipe will clean the user's hair without the need for water and shampoo. Once the user has completed the cleaning, the bristles cover 102 may be removed to gain access to the now dirty wipe for discarding.

All of these components correspond to the identical components described above with respect to the dry shampoo hairbrush 100. The handle-less dry shampoo hairbrush 200 may be held in the palm of one hand for use in brushing the brush bristles 111a-n and installed disposable wipe through the user's hair. In all respects except for the lack of a handle 110 and a handle sleeve 104, the dry shampoo hairbrush 100 and the handle-less dry shampoo hairbrush 200 are identical.
