    Abstract

    The present invention relates to a washing glove made of multiple layers, wherein the layers are made of waterproof layer and a sweat absorption layer. The washing glove externally has filaments made of waterproof, flexible material. Through the present invention, a user has the ability to clean dishes and items using only the glove without the use of a further device, with the glove providing waterproof protection for a users hand and absorbing sweat from the user's hands, wrists, and forearms. The glove is suitable for use in almost any temperature water.

    Claims

    1. A dishwashing glove, comprising: an external layer selected from the group consisting of rubber, polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, silicone elastomer, fluoropolymers, and wax; an internal layer selected from cotton, polyester, polypropylene, and natural fibers; filaments positioned on a hand portion and fingers of the backside of the external layer; and filaments positioned on the fingers of the topside of the external layer; wherein said external layer includes a hand portion, and said external layer and internal layer are fused at the base of the glove.

    2. The dishwashing glove of claim 1, further comprising pleats on said topside and backside of said external layer.

    3. The dishwashing glove of claim 1, wherein said filaments positioned on the fingers of the topside of said external layer cover 2 inches in length measured from the tip of said external layer.

    4. The dishwashing glove of claim 1, wherein said filaments are made of silicone.

    5. The dishwashing glove of claim 1, wherein said filaments positioned on said hand portion are designed in a circular format.

    [0014] FIG. 1 is an bottom side view embodiment of the present invention wherein a glove 100 extending from the hand to either the wrist or to the forearm of the user includes an exterior substrate 103 made of a waterproof or water-resistant material such as rubber, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane, silicone elastomer, fluoropolymers, and wax. In a preferred embodiment, the glove substrate 103 is made of a latex and rubber material.

    [0015] The substrate 103 further includes a hand portion 104, wherein the hand portion 104 is covered on the palms and fingers with filaments 101. The filaments 101 may be made out of a variety of materials include silicone, natural brush, plastic, and nylon. In a preferred embodiment, the filaments 101 are made of silicone.

    [0016] Whereas the hand portion 104 can include individual fingers for a user, in another embodiment, the hand portion 104 can be a mitten, wherein the various fingers are fused.

The filament 201 are preferably from 1 inch to 3 inches in length, measured from the tip of the finger portion. In a preferred embodiment, the filament 201 are 2 inches in length.

    [0025] FIG. 3 is an embodiment of the internal layer 107 of the glove 100 of the present invention, wherein the internal layer 107 is made of a material capable of absorbing or wicking away sweat from a user's hand and forearm while the glove 100 is in use. Suitable materials for the internal layer 107 include cotton, polyester, polypropylene, and natural fibers. In another embodiment, the internal layer 107 can be made from two or more suitable materials, for example cotton and polyester.

    [0026] The internal layer 107 is sealed at its fingertips 301 to allow the internal layer 107 to remain dry from water that may enter into the glove 100.

    [0027] In one embodiment, the internal layer 107 extends the entire size of the glove 100, such that the hand, wrist, and forearm of the user remains dry. The internal layer 107 is fused with the external layer at the base (i.e., where the glove ends, which may be at the wrist or forearm). In such an embodiment, water is not able to get between the external layer and the internal layer.

    [0028] In addition to providing wicking properties, the internal layer 107 provides temperature protection to the user, allowing the glove 100 to be used in both hot and cold temperatures. In one embodiment, the glove 100 may be used in temperature range of from 45 degrees to 75 degrees Celsius.
