Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0024] FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 are views from different perspectives of a preferred embodiment of the system for connecting the waterproofing with a drain pipe in indoor wet areas of the present invention.

[0025] FIGS. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are views indicating different use options in different preferred embodiments of the system for connecting the waterproofing with a drain pipe in indoor wet areas of the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0026] As FIGS. 1 and 2 schematically show, the system for connecting the waterproofing with a drain pipe in indoor wet areas of the proposed invention comprises a secondary part 2 and a securing ring 3, and is intended and suitable for use thereof in a main part 1 of a drain that is connected downstream over the drain pipe of a conventional plumbing installation.

[0027] The main part 1 is in turn equipped with a discoidal plane 11 wherein and on which a waterproofing sheet 4 is positioned and attached. Said waterproofing sheet 4 provides waterproofing of the floor of the sanitary installation itself and is subject to connection with the drain area itself. The system for connecting the waterproofing with a drain pipe in indoor wet areas of the present invention is intended and conceived to secure said connection.

[0028] As can be seen in FIG. 2, an adhesive sealing means 10 is also interposed between the aforementioned discoidal plane 11 of the main part 1 and the waterproofing sheet 4. This provides a watertight, safer and more durable connection over time, without the need to make connections with mechanical means such as screw elements, among others, which complicates the assembly method, and also causes a higher overall cost of the system, by having more components and consumables.

[0029] Moreover, as can also be seen in FIG. 2, the securing ring 3 is enabled for its uniform arrangement on the waterproofing sheet 4 when said waterproofing sheet 4 is pressing on the adhesive sealing means 10 in turn arranged between the aforementioned discoidal plane 11 and the waterproofing sheet 4 itself. This provides the required pressure so that the setting of the sealing adhesive means 10 that is used to attach the waterproofing sheet 4 on said main part 1 of the drain occurs in the most uniform and stable manner possible.

[0030] Likewise, both the secondary part 2 and the securing ring 3 are enabled for coupling and interlocking with each other, as can also be seen in FIG. 3.

[0031] In another embodiment of the invention, the securing ring 3 incorporates mechanical attachment means, intended to house any complementary mechanical attachment elements that the main part 1 incorporates, for the respective assembly thereof.

[0032] Preferably, said aforementioned mechanical attachment means can combine a bayonet type attachment, and comprise female elements 32 in the securing ring 3, which are mutually complementary with any male elements 12 incorporated in the main part 1, as seen in FIG. 8.

[0033] Also, as can be seen in FIG. 2, the securing ring 3 can incorporate a perimeter gasket 31 enabled for the arrangement and adjustment thereof between the main part 1 and the securing ring 3 itself. A watertight seal having a discoidal configuration is thus created, throughout the circular perimeter thereof, making the main part 1 fully watertight, and thereby facilitating wetness to always circulate along the desired main path, up to the main drain point.

[0034] In another embodiment of the invention, as seen in FIGS. 9 and 10, the securing ring 3 incorporates at least one through hole 33, which communicates with an inner cavity 34 provided between the main part 1 and the securing ring 3 itself. This provides an access means for accessing to said inner cavity 34, which can be filled with adhesive sealing material or other material with similar characteristics, all in order to create a watertight seal having a discoidal configuration, similar to the modality initially described, making the main part 1 fully watertight and, therefore, causing wetness to always circulate along the desired main route, to the main drain point.

[0035] Additionally, in order to facilitate the visualisation of the inside of said cavity between the main parts 1 and the securing ring 3, said ring 3 may have semi-transparent or translucent properties. Thus, the user can ensure the correct amount of sealing material that must be supplied, through at least one through hole 33, to completely fill said inner cavity 34 provided between the main part 1 and the securing ring 3.

[0036] The secondary part 2 is in turn enabled for connecting and supporting a grid 5, as well as for adjusting the height thereof.

[0037] More specifically, the placement of the secondary part 2 in any of the two orientations thereof allows the height of the grid 5 to be regulated in two differentiated positions, facilitating two constructive alternatives for the system of the present invention, according to two preferred embodiments that are shown in detail below.

[0038] The grid 5 can be the carrier and support of a ceramic coating trim element that is visible in the drain and that forms a uniform coating throughout the wet area, as can be seen in FIG. 4. In this case, the trim element is flush at the same height as the ceramic coating with which the entire floor in the wet area will be coated.

[0039] In another preferred embodiment, it is the grid 5 itself that incorporates a coating that is visible in the drain, being a visible trim grid 5, as seen in FIG. 5, which differentiates the drain area from the rest of the wet area and incorporating the corresponding visible coating according to the aesthetic choice of the user. In this case, the grid 5 is installed at the same height as the rest of the coating plane of the entire wet area itself.

[0040] Additionally, the secondary part 2 allows the position of the grid 5 to be adjusted in the horizontal plane, which provides a certain tolerance in the adjustment of said grid 5 to the desired position, and with this, it allows for any adjustment and flattening requirements thereof with the pieces of the coating material for coating the entire surface of the wet area, which extend to said drain area.

[0041] Moreover, the system for connecting the waterproofing with a drain pipe in indoor wet areas of the present invention can be used in drains the main part 1 of which may or may not incorporate an adapter 12 for the installation thereof.

[0042] Alternatively, in different embodiments of the present invention, it is anticipated that both the main part 1, the secondary part 2 and the securing ring 3 are sized and adapted to house a grid 5 having a linear format, as can be seen in FIGS. 5 and 7.

[0043] FIG. 1 and FIGS. 4 and 5 show the main part 1 with the adapter 12 thereof.

[0044] FIGS. 6 and 7 show the same arrangement as in FIGS. 4 and 5 respectively, but with the main part 1 without an adapter.

[0045] The details, shapes, dimensions and other accessory elements, as well as the materials used to manufacture the system for connecting the waterproofing with a drain pipe in indoor wet areas of the present invention, may be suitably substituted for others which are technically equivalent, and do not diverge from the essential nature of the invention or from the scope defined by the claims included below.
