ARTICLE OF CLOTHING FOR CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON

Abstract

An article for carrying a concealed weapon having a main body forming an undergarment, at least one holster body incorporated with said main body, said holster body defining a holster cavity, and at least one magnet positioned inside or adjacent to said holster cavity.

An article for carrying a concealed gun comprising: a main body formed of an interior strip and an exterior strip, the main body forming an undergarment with a top and a bottom and arranged to wrap around a portion of a wearer; plural lines of stitching including curved and straight lines of stitching extending upwardly from the bottom toward the top to form holsters incorporated between the interior and exterior strips; and the plural lines of stitching also including straight lines of stitching extending upwardly from the bottom toward the top and at least one horizontal line of stitching adjacent to the bottom to form at least one pocket incorporated within said main body.

3. The article of claim 1, further comprising: at least one magnet positioned inside of at least one holster, wherein said magnet imparts a sufficient magnetic field to attract and hold a gun in the holster when the gun is disposed in the holster.

4. The article of claim 1, wherein the plural lines of stitching forming the holsters form at least two holsters.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0038] As generally understood, the present invention provides for one or more holding structures incorporated onto and undergarment whereby the holding structure is constructed and arranged to securely hold and carry a concealed weapon.

[0039] As demonstrated in FIGS. 1-3, article 10 includes a fabric body 18 whereby stitching 12 secures holster body 42 whereby holster body 42 defines holster cavity 24. In a preferred embodiment, one or more magnet cavities 26 are stitched adjacent to holster cavity 24 whereby magnet cavity 26 is constructed and arranged to hold at least one magnet 14 therein.

[0040] As generally understood, a magnet 14 can be positioned with in holster cavity 42, in magnet cavity 26 or commendations thereof.

One embodiment provides edging as elastic, silicone, rubber, polymers, plastics, combinations thereof, and the like in order to provide additional mechanism for securing the garment into position and avoid movement or slippage. The edging contacts and establishes friction to the skin in order to limit and/or prevent unwanted movement.

[0045] The present invention further contemplates a configuration such as FIGS. 6 and 7 whereby the holster of the present invention is configured into a size and shape suitable to wrap around the thigh of a user.

The cavity will typically be partially closed on the inferior edge to prevent a weapon from passing completely through the cavity.

Further improvement provides that the weapon be held securely in the position that not only by tension imparted by holster body 42 around a weapon but additionally by magnetic force imparted by magnet 14 positioned adjacent to a weapon placed within holster body 42.
