    Abstract

    A weighted shoe system for strengthening a leg includes a shoe that is selectively worn. A weight is provided and he weight is selectively and removably coupled to the shoe. In this way the weight strengthens a leg when the shoe is worn.

    Claims

    1. A weighted shoe system comprising: a shoe being configured to be worn, said shoe having a sole; and a weight being selectively and removably coupled to said shoe wherein said weight is configured to strengthen a leg when said shoe is worn.

    2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said sole has a back side and a front side, said back side having a well extending toward said front side, said well having a terminal surface.

    3. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said weight has a first end, a second end and an outer surface extending therebetween, said weight being elongated between said first and second ends.

    4. The assembly according to claim 3, wherein: said sole has a back side and a front side, said back side having a well extending toward said front side, said well having a terminal surface; and said weight being inserted into said well having said first end abutting said terminal surface of said well and having said second end being aligned with said back side of said sole.

    5. A weighted shoe system comprising: a shoe being configured to be worn, said shoe having a sole, said sole having a back side and a front side, said back side having a well extending toward said front side, said well having a terminal surface; and a weight being selectively and removably coupled to said shoe wherein said weight is configured to strengthen a leg when said shoe is worn, said weight having a first end, a second end and an outer surface extending therebetween, said weight being elongated between said first and second ends, said weight being inserted into said well having said first end abutting said terminal surface of said well and having said second end being aligned with said back side of said sole.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

    [0018] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 7 thereof, a new shoe device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

    [0019] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 7, the weighted shoe system 10 generally comprises a shoe 12 that is worn on a foot for the purposes of walking and other activities. The shoe 12 has a sole 14 and the sole 14 has a back side 16 and a front side 18. The back side 16 has a well 20 extending toward the front side 18 and the well 20 has a terminal surface 22. The terminal surface 22 is positioned closer to the front side 18 than the back side 16. Additionally, the shoe 12 may be a tennis shoe or the like.

    [0020] A weight 24 is provided and the weight 24 is selectively and removably coupled to the shoe 12. The weight 24 may be comprised of a flexible material and the weight 24 may have a weight 24 ranging between approximately 30.0 grams and 550.0 grams. Thus, the weight 24 may strengthen a leg when the shoe 12 is worn. In this way a user that is recovering from an injury or the like can rehabilitate the injury without going to a gym or conscientiously exercising.

    [0021] The weight 24 has a first end 26, a second end 28 and an outer surface 30 extending therebetween. The weight 24 is elongated between the first 26 and second 28 ends. Moreover, the weight 24 is inserted into the well 20. The first end 26 abuts the terminal surface 22 of the well 20 and the second end 28 is aligned with the back side 16 of the sole 14 when the weight 24 is inserted into the well 20. The second end 28 is concavely arcuate with respect to the first end 26. In this way the second end 28 conforms to a curvature of the back side 16 of the sole 14 when the weight 24 is positioned in the well 20.

    [0022] In an alternative embodiment 32 as shown in FIG. 5, the shoe 12 may be a high heel shoe and the shoe 12 may have a stiletto heel 34. A pair of the weights 24 may be provided. The stiletto heel 34 may have a second well 36 for receiving a second one of the weights 24. In an alternative embodiment 38 as shown in FIG. 6, the weight 24 may be attached to a bottom side of the high heel shoe 12 in any conventional, mechanical manner. In an alternative embodiment 40 as shown in FIG. 7, the weight 24 may comprise an insole 42 that is positioned within the shoe 12.

    [0023] In use, the weight 24 is inserted into the well 20 in the sole 14 and the shoe 12 is worn. Thus, the weight 24 facilitates the leg to be exercised while the shoe 12 is being worn. In this way a leg injury or the like is rehabilitated while walking with the shoe 12 on. Additionally, the shoe 12 and the weight 24 facilitate the leg to be exercised without going to a gym or the like. The weight 24 is removable from the well 20 at any selected time and the shoe 12 may be worn with and without the weight 24 in the well 20.

    [0024] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
