    Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

[0009] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0010] FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a canister and a lid of a swimming goggles storage assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0011] FIG. 2 is a front phantom view of a canister and a lid of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0012] FIG. 3 is a top view of a lid of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0013] FIG. 4 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new storage device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0015] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 4, the swimming goggles storage assembly 10 generally comprises a canister 12 that has a plurality of drain holes 14 drain a fluid from the canister 12. The canister 12 has a bottom wall 16 and an outer wall 18 extending upwardly therefrom. Moreover, the outer wall 18 has a distal edge 20 with respect to the bottom wall 16 defining an opening 22 into the canister 12. The drain holes 14 are distributed around the outer wall 18 and the bottom wall 16.

[0016] A lid 24 is provided and the lid 24 is removably positioned on the canister 12 to close the canister 12. The lid 24 has a plurality of drain apertures 26 therein to pass the fluid therethrough when the lid 24 is positioned on the canister 12. The lid 24 has a top wall 28 and an outermost wall 30 extending downwardly from a peripheral edge 32 of the top wall 28, and the outermost wall 30 is continuous such that the lid 24 has a disk shape. Each of the drain apertures 26 is positioned on the top wall 28. The top wall 28 abuts the distal edge 20 of the canister 12 and the outermost wall 30 frictionally engages the outer wall 18 of the canister 12 to releasably retain the lid 24 on the canister 12.

[0017] A pair of swimming goggles 34 is included and the swimming goggles 34 are inserted into the canister 12 after the swimming goggles 34 are worn in water for storage. The drain holes 14 in the canister 12 and the drain apertures 26 in the lid 24 facilitate the swimming goggles 34 to dry. In this way mold, mildew and other bacterial growth on the swimming goggles 34 is reduced when the swimming goggles 34 are stored in the canister 12. Additionally, the swimming goggles 34 will be dry for subsequent use without requiring a user to manually dry the swimming goggles 34. The swimming goggles 34 may be swimming goggles of any conventional design.

[0018] In use, the swimming goggles 34 are inserted into the canister 12 for storage after the swimming goggles 34 have been worn for swimming or the like. The lid 24 is positioned on the canister 12 to retain the swimming goggles 34 in the canister 12. Each of the drain holes 14 and the drain apertures 26 facilitates water that drips from the goggles to exit the canister 12. Additionally, each of the drain holes 14 and the drain apertures 26 facilitates air to move in and out of the canister 12 thereby facilitating the swimming goggles 34 to dry. In this way bacterial growth on the swimming goggles 34 is reduced during storage and the swimming goggles 34 will be dried for subsequent use.

[0019] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0020] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word comprising is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article a does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
