DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0020] The present invention advantageously provides a straw cleaning device for cleaning reusable straws. The present invention contemplates various types of straw cleaning device.
[0021] Accordingly, the device components have been represented where appropriate by conventional symbols in the drawings, showing only those specific details that are pertinent to understanding the embodiments of the present invention so as not to obscure the disclosure with details that will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of the description herein.
[0022] Referring now to the drawings figures in which like reference designators refer to like elements.
[0023] The housing 12 further includes an on/off switch 14 for turning on the cleaning function of the straw cleaning device 10. The switch 14 in the on position causes the motor to drive a cleaning shaft 16 in rotation about the length of the cleaning shaft 16.
[0024] The cleaning shaft 16 includes cleaning bristles 18 along at least a portion of the length of the cleaning shaft 16. The cleaning bristles 18 are positioned and formed to clean the interior of a reusable straw.
[0025] Referring now to
[0026] In one non-limiting embodiment, depression of member 22 forces cleaning solution through the reservoir feed tube 26 and through one or more proximal openings 28 in the cleaning shaft 16.
[0027] Referring to
[0028] In another non-limiting embodiment, the power member 34 is replaceable batteries, such as AAA or AA batteries and replaced via the bottom 36 of the housing 12 shown in
[0029] In a non-limiting embodiment, the housing 12 further includes a charging port 38 that integrates with a charging portion 40 for recharging the power member 34.
[0030] Referring now to
[0031] Referring now to
[0032] In a non-limiting embodiment, the straw cleaning member 100 is non-rigid allowing the bristles to snake about the shape of the reusable straw.
[0033] In a non-limiting embodiment, the straw cleaning device 10 is capable of releasing and replacing the cleaning shaft 16 with a new cleaning shaft 16 and/or straw cleaning member 100 allowing a user to choose between an internal straw cleaner of cleaning shaft 16 versus an internal/external of straw cleaning member 100.
