BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
[0010]
[0011] The dome 14 is typically made of plastic, glass or other transparent material. The base, in the embodiment shown, is approximately 1-2 inches high and can typically comprise various solid colors, although it could also be clear. The base has an internal floor 22 on which the elf can sit/stand. The elf can be attached to the floor 22 by various fastening elements, including hook and loop elements 23. The base is configured so that it can sit flat on flat surfaces without additional support. The dome 14 is transparent so as to provide a full view of the elf at all times. The dome portion 14 can also be decorated with various elements, including candy canes, mistletoe or other festive elements, illustrated generally at 24. Also as shown in
[0012] Extending from the top of the dome is a handle 26. The handle 26 can have various configurations, although in the embodiment shown, it includes two outwardly angled side members 28 and 30 and an intermediate straight member 32 between the upper end of the side members. The angled side members and the top member define an opening 34, large enough to accommodate the hand of a child for ease of carrying.
[0013] Again, although the figures show an elf within the transporter case for illustration, it should be understood that other similar toys/dolls can be used with the transporter case depending upon the desire of the owner.
[0014] Although a preferred embodiment of the invention has been disclosed for purposes of illustration, it should be understood that various changes, modifications and substitutions may be incorporated in the embodiment without departing from the spirit of the invention, which is defined by the claims which follow.
