Abstract
A Super Floss and expanding floss carrier which is held in a hand in a similar fashion to the way a toothbrush is held. It has a handle, which can hold extra Super Floss and expanding floss and act as a floss dispenser. It is wider in the center of the handle area and becomes narrow toward the ends of the handle. At the end of the floss carrier where it enters a mouth is a funnel, which is wider at the end closest to the handle and narrow toward the tip. The tip is curved so that it can point in between teeth to allow Super Floss and expanding floss to be directed between teeth. Fingers are used to direct floss from the dispenser portion of the floss carrier to the funnel portion of the carrier so that the Super Floss and expanding floss can be then directed into a mouth.
Claims
1. A floss feeder for placing dental superfloss and expanding floss inside a mouth in an easy to use location, comprising: means for holding multiple pieces of super floss and expanding floss to allow it to be stored; means for directing floss in between teeth and under orthodontic wire and under dental bridge work and under fixed orthodontic retainers; means for cutting one piece of floss from another piece of floss at a desired length; means for providing a way to secure a dispenser handle to a floss feeder and for allowing an empty dispenser handle to be removed and replaced with a new dispenser handle containing more floss; means for connecting all portions of a floss feeder to one another and for use as a handle if a dispenser handle is missing; means for allowing a dispenser handle to stay in place without spinning on a shaft; means for allowing floss to exit a dispenser handle; means for allowing floss to enter a funnel and to be moved in and out of a funnel; and means for allowing fluid into a funnel to flush out debris.
2. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for holding multiple pieces of super floss and expanding floss to allow it to be stored comprises a new attribute 1 dispenser handle.
3. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for directing floss in between teeth and under orthodontic wire and under dental bridge work and under fixed orthodontic retainers comprises a new attribute 1 funnel.
4. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for cutting one piece of floss from another piece of floss at a desired length comprises a new attribute 1 floss cutter.
5. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for providing a way to secure a dispenser handle to a floss feeder and for allowing an empty dispenser handle to be removed and replaced with a new dispenser handle containing more floss comprises a new attribute 1 screw-on base.
6. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for connecting all portions of a floss feeder to one another and for use as a handle if a dispenser handle is missing comprises a new attribute 1 shaft.
7. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for allowing a dispenser handle to stay in place without spinning on a shaft comprises a new attribute 1 shaft key.
8. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for allowing floss to exit a dispenser handle comprises a new attribute 1 dispenser floss hole.
9. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for allowing floss to enter a funnel and to be moved in and out of a funnel comprises a new attribute 1 funnel floss slot.
10. The floss feeder in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for allowing fluid into a funnel to flush out debris comprises a new attribute 1 flush out hole.
11. A floss feeder for placing dental superfloss and expanding floss inside a mouth in an easy to use location, comprising: a new attribute 1 dispenser handle, for holding multiple pieces of super floss and expanding floss to allow it to be stored; a new attribute 1 funnel, for directing floss in between teeth and under orthodontic wire and under dental bridge work and under fixed orthodontic retainers; a new attribute 1 floss cutter, for cutting one piece of floss from another piece of floss at a desired length; a new attribute 1 screw-on base, for providing a way to secure a dispenser handle to a floss feeder and for allowing an empty dispenser handle to be removed and replaced with a new dispenser handle containing more floss; a new attribute 1 shaft, for connecting all portions of a floss feeder to one another and for use as a handle if a dispenser handle is missing; a new attribute 1 shaft key, for allowing a dispenser handle to stay in place without spinning on a shaft; a new attribute 1 dispenser floss hole, for allowing floss to exit a dispenser handle; a new attribute 1 funnel floss slot, for allowing floss to enter a funnel and to be moved in and out of a funnel; and a new attribute 1 flush out hole, for allowing fluid into a funnel to flush out debris.
