    DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0023] The technical solutions in the embodiments of the retractable bat will be described clearly and completely below in combination with the figures attached. It is noteworthy that the embodiments applicable to the retractable bat shall not be limited to the ones described below.

[0024] As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, the embodiments provide a retractable bat which comprises an internal structure coupled to a sleeve comprising foam, wherein the sleeve comprising foam surrounds and protects the internal structure, wherein the internal structural member comprises a sleeve rod 101 and an inner rod 102 that may be detachably coupled to movable threads inside the sleeve rod 101. The sleeve rod 101 and the inner rod 102 may be hollow, may be conical, and may be barrel-shaped. One end of the sleeve rod 101 is larger than the other end of the sleeve rod. The sleeve rod 101 is insertable into the inner rod 102 where the diameter is larger. The inner rod 102 can slide and extend from the upper part of the sleeve rod 101 where the diameter of the upper part of the sleeve rod is wider than another part of the sleeve rod; the inner rod 102 can be rotated along the inner rod's longitudinal axis, and clamped from the lower part of the sleeve rod 101 where the diameter of the sleeve rod is smaller than the diameter of another portion of the sleeve rod to form a fixedly integrated bat-liked structure.

[0025] The interior of the sleeve rod 101 may define a cavity 103, which may be used to connect the inner rod 102 or to retain water. The upper end of the cavity 103 is provided with an upper connecting cap 104, and a water outlet 150 may be disposed within the center of the upper connecting cap 104; the water outlet 150 may be used as an outlet for spraying water when the bat is used as a water gun.

[0026] The upper connecting cap 104 may act as a cover when in a closed position. When the upper connecting cap 104 has been disposed in a closed position, the upper connecting cap 104 may then be opened to allow the inner rod to slide freely against the inner surface of the sleeve rod. In some embodiments, when the upper connecting cap 104 is in a closed position, the inner rod 102 cannot slide smoothly due to airtight contact between the diameter of the upper end of the inner rod 102 and the interior of the sleeve rod 101. In view of this, if there is no air injected, both rods will not be allowed to slide smoothly. When the cap is opened, air can be injected and both rods can slide smoothly. When the inner rod 102 is in a retracted position, the inner rod 102 will not be able to slide smoothly. When the bat is in the expanded position, both rods will not slide automatically, which prevents the damage or falling out thereby.

[0027] The bottom of the sleeve rod 101 is provided with a connecting end 107, and the interior of the connecting end 107 is threaded. The lower body of the inner rod 102 is designed as a handle or grip 108 that can enable the functionality of the bat when held. The upper end of the inner rod 102 is provided with a connector 109. The outer surface of the connector 109 comprises an external thread, and the external thread may be selectively and detachably engaged with the internal thread of the connecting end 107 so as to set the position of the grip 108 with respect to the sleeve rod 101. The top of the external thread on the connector 109 may have a limiting edge 110 to prevent the connector 109 from being detached from the upper end of the inner rod 102 when the bat is being moved. The bottom of the inner rod 102 may have a lower connecting cap 112 to prevent the inner rod 102 from sliding out of the upper end of the sleeve rod 101. The top of the inner rod 102 comprises a hermetic structure comprised of a portion of the inner rod 102 upward of the external thread of the connector 109 that has a larger diameter than the rest of the inner rod 102 that can form an airtight seal with the sleeve rod 101. The hermetic structure on the top of the inner rod 102 may retain the air pressure formed within the cavity 103 that is disposed inside of the sleeve rod 101, so as to form a piston-liked structure facilitating water intake and spray.

[0028] A foam assembly comprising foam layer I 106 and foam layer II 111 is disclosed. The foam layer I 106 may be set on the outside of the sleeve rod 101, and the foam layer II 111 may be set on the outside of the inner rod 102. Both foam layers may be used to ensure that the bat handle is a comfortable handle. As used herein the word cavity means the area defining a space.

[0029] A method for using the retractable bat comprises: providing a retractable bat as described herein, disposing the inner rod 102 into the cavity 103 from the upper end of the sleeve rod 101, attaching the upper connecting cap 104 to the upper end of the cavity 103. The next step comprises sliding out the lower end of the grip 108 from the bottom of the sleeve rod 101. The next step comprises attaching the lower connecting cap 112 to the lower end of the grip 108 currently being pulled outward. When it is felt that it can no longer be pulled outward, twist the grip 108. Rotate and screw in the remaining part of the grip 108 gradually by connecting the thread arranged on the inner side of the connecting end 107 with the thread slot arranged on the connector 109. When the grip 108 is rotated or screwed in to a stopped or closed position, and it can no longer be rotated, the bottom of the limiting edge 110 is then clamped by way of the coupling of the threads of the connector 109 to the upper end of the inner side of the connecting end 107 and its respective threads. When the bottom of the limiting edge 110 is clamped to the upper edge of the inner side of the connecting edge 107, the connector 109 and the grip 108 can no longer move outwardly. In the preferred methods of use, the position of the inner rod 102 is fixed before a batter uses the bat.

[0030] To use the device as a water gun, uncover the upper connecting cap 104, and inject water into the interior of the cavity 103 from the upper end. When the cavity 103 is filled with water, cover the connecting cap 104 to spray. Push the grip 108 upward to squeeze water from the limiting edge 110, so that water can be sprayed out of the water outlet 105.

[0031] The above are embodiments of the retractable bat, and do not limit the scope of the patent of the retractable bat. Within the scope of knowledge possessed by technicians in the field, various changes can be made without departing from the purpose of the retractable bat, and the modification or deformation without creative labor is still within the protection scope of the retractable bat.
