Abstract

A system for cleaning a deck that includes: a water supply; a bilge pump connected to the water supply; piping extending from the bilge pump under the deck; and a plurality of water streams emitting from the piping, where the plurality of water streams release over the top surface of the deck. The piping includes a plurality of holes and each hole enables emission of a water stream.

Claims

1. A system for cleaning a deck comprising: a water supply a bilge pump connected to the water supply; piping extending from the bilge pump under the deck; and a plurality of water streams emitting from the piping, where the plurality of water streams release over the top surface of the deck.

2. The system according to claim 1, where the piping includes a plurality of holes and each hole enables emission of a water stream.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0005] The deck cleaning system according to the present invention provides piping adjacent to a deck that releases streams of water. These streams of water transfer over to the top surface of the deck and cleans the surface to keep it clear for foot traffic. Water is pumped to the piping by a bilge pump and water is supplied to the pump through a regular water supply such as a water hose. Further passengers may use the water streams to clean their feet and shoes prior to embarking onto the watercraft.

[0006] FIG. 1 depicts a deck cleaning system 100 according to the present invention. The cleaning system 100 includes a bilge pump 15. This bilge pump 15 receives water through a water hose 10 connected to the bilge pump 15. The underlying body of water is used as the water source for the deck cleaning system 100. The output of the bilge pump 15 is transferred to a pipe 20 as shown. This pipe 20 is connected to the undersurface of a deck 35 and releases water onto the top surface of the deck 35. The pipe 20 includes a plurality of holes 22 that emit streams of water 30 over the deck 35. The deck 35 is therefore cleaned and maintained by this periodic water stream. The streams of water 30 are released at a sufficient pressure to allow for water flow on the top surface of the deck 35. This cleaning system may be activated by the user as needed to clean the surface of the deck 35.
