Abstract
Implementations of a hair styling tool with a removable cosmetic jar are provided. The hair styling tool may comprise a styling head connected to an elongated handle by a cylindrical shaft, and a cosmetic jar that is threadedly secured to the base of the handle. The cosmetic jar is configured to store hair cream, lotion, or another cosmetic product therein. In some implementations, the hair styling tool may include a brush portion and a comb portion positioned on opposite sides of the styling head. In this way, depending on the type of hair and/or style, the user may select the appropriate styling tool (i.e., the brush portion or the comb portion) for styling their hair.

A hair styling tool comprising: a styling head connected to an elongated handle by a cylindrical shaft, and a cosmetic jar that is removably secured to a base of the handle; wherein: the styling head comprises a brush portion and a comb portion, the brush portion and the comb portion extend from opposite exterior surfaces of the styling head; the brush portion comprises grouped bristles that extend from a first exterior surface of the styling head and the comb portion comprises a series of single and spaced apart teeth that extend from a second exterior surface of the styling head; and the cosmetic jar is configured to contain a cosmetic product therein.
6. The hair styling tool of claim 5, wherein the cosmetic jar comprises a bottom having a cylindrical sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, the proximal end of the cylindrical sidewall is threaded, an interior space for containing a cosmetic product is defined by the bottom and the cylindrical sidewall of the cosmetic jar.
7. The hair styling tool of claim 6, wherein the base of the handle includes a recess therein that is configured to threadedly engage with the proximal end of the cosmetic jar.
8. A hair styling tool comprising: a styling head connected to an elongated handle by a cylindrical shaft, and a cosmetic jar that is removably secured to a base of the handle; wherein: the styling head comprises a brush portion and a comb portion, the brush portion and the comb portion extend from opposite exterior surfaces of the styling head; the cosmetic jar comprises a bottom having a cylindrical sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, the proximal end of the cylindrical sidewall is threaded, an interior space for containing a cosmetic product is defined by the bottom and the cylindrical sidewall of the cosmetic jar; and the base of the handle includes a recess therein that is configured to threadedly engage with the proximal end of the cosmetic jar.
9. The hair styling tool of claim 8, wherein the brush portion comprises grouped bristles that extend from a first exterior surface of the styling head and the comb portion comprises a series of single and spaced apart teeth that extend from a second exterior surface of the styling head.

[0025] In some implementations, the hair styling tool 100 may be configured so that a cosmetic product contained within the cosmetic jar 140 does not leak therefrom when the cosmetic jar 140 has been secured to the base of the handle 130 (i.e., the junction between the cosmetic jar 140 and the base of the handle 130 may be watertight). In some implementations, the recess 132 of the handle 130 and/or the proximal end 148 of the cosmetic jar 140 may be configured to prevent a cosmetic product contained therein from leaking through the junction therebetween (e.g., an O-ring may be positioned about the proximal end 148 of the cosmetic jar 140).
[0026] In some implementations, the cosmetic jar 140 may be secured to the base of the handle 130 using the following steps:
[0027] Initially, the proximal end 148 of the cosmetic jar 140 may be positioned adjacent the base of the handle 130.
[0028] Then, the cosmetic jar 140 may be twisted so that the proximal end 148 thereof engages with the screw thread located within the recess 132 of the handle 130. In this way, the cosmetic jar 140 may be secured to the handle 130 of the hair styling tool 100 (see, e.g.,
